I agree with the other users here. This is a program i paid for and you are taking up my time with popup ads that i cant turn off! You're bad people and you should feel bad. Fix it.
If you represent Intuit support and don't know what the DIscovery Hub is in QuickBooks then you really have no business responding to this thread.

It's no surprise it's taking so long to fix... Intuit was just sued and lost on they're turbo tax software. Charging people when it was supposed to be free. Should be pretty simple. Show the notification as a tiny flag on the Discovery Hub button instead of a nagging pop up!

In this particular situation, I recommend sending a message to the product engineers to let them know you'd like to have the option to remove or relocate the Discovery Hub.
Here's how to get your feedback submitted:
- Go to the Help menu and select Send Feedback Online.
- Click Product Suggestion.
- Choose a feedback type and product area on the QuickBooks Feedback window.
- Enter your suggestion or feedback, name, and email address (optional).
- Select the Send Feedback Online.
Keep an out for an email message regarding any updates. You're always welcome here if you have any other questions or concerns.
Since the latest update we have noticed the discovery hub does not just pop up every once in a while but actually when login to admin account it actually opens the discovery hub. I have submitted a product suggestion hope they figure something out soon.
That helps the incessant popups but does not affect QB's new nag called "Discovery Hub". Thanks for playing!
If you don't know what the Discovery Hub is then you cannot possibly be trusted to provide QB support. Go back to sleep.
The usual Intuit community "blah blah blah" generic advice that never really addresses or leads to a fix of the problem or concern,
Shame, Intuit!! Shame!
You can't. It's Intuit's newest nagware system to draw in more business.
It won't be long now... the death knell was struck with the new pricing scheme = $349.99 / year for software that is suboptimal, buggy, and slooooowwww! Start looking for alternatives now!!!! They're out there and they're better and cheaper than Slowbooks.
Thank you for this, I went to the preferences and noticed that the Turn off Pop Ups was unchecked so i "Checked" it. Will see if it helps and let you know if it doesn't, but in clicking around nothing seemed to triger the Discover Hub pop up. Keeping fingers crossed, LOL. Thank you.
I do agree about the cost not being worth it so if I am forced into a subscription, quickbooks will be gone.
Well that didn't work, I was greeted this morning with this:
It appears the Discovery Hub pop-up has been disabled. YAY!
Hello there,
I am just as frustrated as you are with the "Discovery Hub". It's annoying and I don't need it.
My turn off pop up messages is already checked for off and has no effect on the Discovery Hub. I have sent my product recommendation in to QB to have the "turn it off" as an option. I used to be an Advance QB Advisor, but I have become very disheartened with the costs of the upgrades and subscriptions. It's getting to be a hard sell.
It is not disabled on my computer. I am using Desktop 2020. Is there a way to disable it? It is a terrible aggravation.
Thanks.
Thanks for joining the thread, @Sunnynm2005.
I understand that the Discovery Hub takes up space on your screen and can sometimes limit your view when performing specific tasks in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Know that this added to make it easy to explore the best of what QuickBooks has to offer. You can consider clicking Maybe later or X to close it on your screen.
In addition, in case you'd like to turn off the pop-up ads in your QBDT application, feel free to follow the steps below. To begin, here's how:
Once done you'll want to sign out and then sign back into your QBDT account to check if the pop-up advertisements will not show.
I've also got you this article about fixing screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm all ears if you have any other concerns regarding the pop-ups or any other functions in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be more than happy to help you out once again. Take care!
No kidding! This is like having a big smudge on my glasses that I can't get rid of. That stupid box blocks part of my screen and is the latest annoyance associated with Quickbooks. It's like you specialize in making work more DIFFICULT and less productive.
I am beyond frustrated with the Discovery Hub popup. As you know from MANY online posts, the popup covers part of the screen; I can't even see the dates on my memorized trx screen. This is SO frustrating!!!!! These posts from other users started in February so I am assuming QB just does not care. So unfortunate. I have used QB for many years and have always been happy with it. Definitely considering another software when my QB subscription ends.
You could closed by mowing inside the open window to the right. There is the x close out button.
When you see the small window pop up, move your mouse inside that box to the left. That window goes beyond what you see. There is the x close button.
You could close it. Move your mouse inside and move it to the right.
