I’m working with Import Styles to create a custom Estimate. In a table, I have:
ITEM | AMOUNT |
<item> <itemdescription> | <amount> |
All of the data in that table repeats just as it should. Further down the page I have another table:
ITEM | AMOUNT |
<item> | <amount> |
In the second table, nothing repeats. Can anyone tell me why and if there is a way to make this work?
Hi there, @bfackrell.
Glad to have you here in the Community. I can share some insights about importing styles for a customized estimate in QuickBooks Online.
When importing custom form styles for estimates in QuickBooks Online, it's advised to use tables with simple rows and columns to avoid issues. To get this issue sorted out, you can try re-importing your form style and see if the second table will repeat.
You can also check this guide about importing custom form styles for estimates in QuickBooks Online that you may find helpful.
However, if the issue persists after trying these steps, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to check on your templates and verify what's causing the issue. You can reach them through the contact information found in this link: Contact the QuickBooks Online Customer Support team.
Be sure to let me know how else I can empower you to make QuickBooks work the way your business needs. Thanks for coming to the Community, wishing you continued success.
I’ve re-imported countless times with countless variations and I’ve followed the guide. I’ll try the Customer Care Team. Thanks!
What a complete nightmare! I’ve been going in circles with the online support (Jethel Grace O) for over an hour and I’ve just realized that they don’t even know about this plug-in. I’ve been begging for them to escalate to someone that understands, and they don’t seem to understand what I’m asking for…I have no idea how to proceed at this point. This really seems like a simple fix for the right person. Any other suggestions?
Hello again, @bfackrell.
I'm grateful that you took the time to provide me with an update on the steps that you've tried. I want to ensure that this concern will be taken care of.
For me to better isolate this issue, I'd like to ask for a copy of the template that you use so I can try replicating it on my end.
Please get back to me with some more details. I'll keep an eye for your reply.
Thank you so much! I'm attaching the template.
Looks like this forum won't allow me to attach a .docx so I'm sending it as a pdf. As you'll see, it's really very simple to re-create in word.
The table on the top repeats all of the QB data but the table on the bottom only shows the first line of data.
I have this same issue. Did you ever get a solution sorted?
Thanks for letting me know about this, @carlcairns.
I'd like to ensure that you'll be able to import your estimates with no issues in QuickBooks Online.
To make sure we're on the same page, may I ask if you've already tried performing the steps presented above? If you haven't done so, you may perform the troubleshooting steps in fixing fields for imported estimates found in this link: Fix errors when matching fields.
Additionally, you'll need to make sure that your templates have been mapped correctly. You may download the QuickBooks Online EZ Map Fields Catalog.to help you map your estimates.
However, if the same thing happens, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the ability to run a remote-viewing session and isolate this matter for you.
Please keep me updated on how these resources works for you. I'll be around to lend a helping hand if there's anything else you need. Take care!
