Invoice Email Template

Good Day

I'm trying to setup in invoice email template to show service address. How can this be accomplished?

I tried [shippingaddress] , [serviceaddress] , [service-address] , [shipping-address]

None of these work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for becoming part of the Community, VDS Integrators.

You can add a service address to invoices by editing your template.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Customers, then Create Invoices.
  2. Access your Formatting tab and click Manage Templates.
  3. Choose an appropriate template from the list, press OK, then hit Layout Designer.... If prompted, choose Make a Copy.
  4. Use the + Add ▼ button and pick Data Field.
  5. Place a checkmark next to Other, then click OK.
  6. Customize where the data field sits on your template.
  7. Once you're finished, select OK, then go to Additional Customization..., locate the data field you just created and change its Title to what you want it to be titled as.
  8. Select OK.

Now you'll have your custom field available when creating invoices.

I know how to create invoice templates. My issue is the email template for invoice.

Template looks like this

Dear customer:

Your invoice-21594 for 27,000.00 is attached for service completed at ********. Please remit payment at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for your business - we appreciate it very much

Need to know how to auto fill the ****** with the service at address

Invoice Email Template

Thanks for sharing the details of your concern here in the Community, @VDS Integrators. I'm here to provide further information about this.

Currently, the option to provide a service address to your email template automatically isn't possible. You'll need to edit it in manually.

As a workaround,  you can create multiple email templates with customized subject lines and email bodies. Then all you have to do is select the one when you send an invoice.  Here's how:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Choose the Send forms menu and then the Company Preferences tab.
  3. From the Delivery Method Default drop-down menu, select Email.
  4. From the Email Templates drop-down menu, select a transaction type then select Add Template.
  5. Give your template a name then customize the subject line and body.
  6. You can select Insert Field to put a dynamic data field in your email. These use real data from the form, like the customer name or due date, to fill out the field.
  7. When you're done customizing, select Save. After you close the template, select OK in the Company Preferences tab to save your changes.

You can learn more about personalizing your emails to customers or vendors, open this article: Create custom email templates in QuickBooks Desktop.

@VDS Integrators , the short answer is it's not possible. You'll notice very long answers here even if we only need a Yes or a No.

Best answer.

Are these automated replies? As they did not respond to my question at all.

Thanks again

You're welcome. I really don't know. I'm a busy person and I hate to read their long answers.
