License information email - Phishing or not?

I've received two emails from [email address removed] alleging I contacted intuit about license information. I had not, so I clicked a link that allegedly would connect me to customer service.

You’ve received this email as you or someone from your company has requested ‌your QuickBooks license information. If you didn’t initiate this request, reach out to us.

Reach out to us was a hyperlink linking to: https://u35192344.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click?upn=FSSrEI2ydjWN-2FOiQ6TGdvznd4khN-2B-2FlJ7UMPuGw3ibYybgK...

Is this even a legitimate link at all? That link asks me to login, I do and then I open a chat session to talk to support. Chat takes FOREVER and then wants my account number AGAIN. I terminate chat and attempt to call intuit directly @ [removed]

Is [removed] a valid phone number for intuit?

That number is answered by AI who automatically recognizes my phone number and account and emails me an attempt to link me to support articles on phishing. I tell the AI to connect me to an operator. I connect with an operator with horrible English who proceeds to want to ask me my account number AGAIN and tells me the email I received WAS a phishing email and to not give out any personal information. While on the phone I attempt to forward the email to [email address removed] as specified on the email just for the email to bounce back.

At that point I no longer knew if I was even talking to anyone with intuit ever so i terminated the call. I forwarded the emails to [email address removed] which I pray to God is a legitimate email for intuit security. Logged back into my intuit account and changed my login password.

It's now been an hour and a half and I have not been able to come to any type of conclusion with this situation.

I'm just going to delete quickbooks, this has been a nightmare.

It's now been an hour and thirty minutes

License information email - Phishing or not?

Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

Can you access your CAMPS as the Primary Contact and find your license code there?

License information email - Phishing or not?

2020 or older and I have no idea what Camps is. Just the same all intuit does is financial services. This is pure insanity how difficult it is to speak with someone in the security department.

Also my legitimate license codes were included in the email I received that whatever cust service rep I spoke to verified. I dont need or want my license codes. I just want to know if I'm being phished and why I'm receiving these emails.

License information email - Phishing or not?

@PissedOff7

Your license data in CAMPS is compromised. As long as you can access as the Primary Contact, you should be fine.

License information email - Phishing or not?

I received this type of email twice over the last several weeks. As you stated, the license information is the correct license information for your account. I contacted QuickBooks and found out that you can request license information via email by going to their "request license information" page and only typing your email address.

It doesn't make sense, but they also stated that there were no requests by telephone regarding this information.

Hope this helps, but it still doesn't seem right. Maybe there is some sort of phishing scam in the works.
