Let's sort this out so you can send your file to your accountant, Ellis Electrical.
I also appreciate letting us know that it's only happening to a single company file. The "Send to Accountant" button may be greyed out due to possible data damage.
I'll share the steps on how to resolve common data issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:
- Go to the File menu, hover your mouse to Utilities, and then select Rebuild Data.
- Click OK, then follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
- Let the tool repair your file. Please note that the process may take some time. It may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
- When the tool finishes, select OK.
- Go back to the File menu. Then, hover over to Utilities and select Verify Data.
- Let the tool check your file for data issues.
If QuickBooks doesn't find any problems, select OK. If the program finds an issue, click Rebuild Now. Here's an article about this process for more details: Fix Data Damage on Your QuickBooks Desktop Company File.
Aside from that you can also use the QuickBooks File Doctor to fix your company file. After that, log back in and check if the send button is no longer greyed out.
