I tried to do online payments so customer can pay online and Iget the money transferred to my bank account. I added all my info except the ssn because I don’t have ssn I have a itin number and it keeps telling me it’s invalid
Are you B2B or B2C?
If you are B2B, you can use a 3rd party payment processor to register with your ITIN. You need SSN to apply for a QB Payment account.
I'd like to take care of your concern myself, Precision. It seems that you are encountering an issue with providing your ITIN number for online payments.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) assigns nine-digit Social Security numbers (SSNs) to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible nonimmigrant workers in the United States. The SSN is one of the requirements for setting up a US Merchant or online payments account. If you don't have an SSN, it's advisable to seek guidance from the IRS to explore alternative options tailored to your specific circumstances.
I'm also adding these articles which might be helpful in the future about setting up and using QuickBooks Payments as well as connecting payments accounts to QuickBooks Online (QBO):
Additionally, I recommend reaching out to the customer support of the platform you are using for online payments to inquire about the possibility of using an ITIN number instead of an SSN. They may have a specific process or alternative method for individuals with ITINs to set up online payments.
Keep posted if you have any other questions. I'll always be here to help!
