Is QB really prepared (that might be a first!) so that we you upgrade to OS Ventura, QB Desktop for Mac 2021 will still work?
Hello, @GK5919. I've come to share some insights about how OS Ventura works with QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Yes, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 is compatible with macOS Ventura. However, we haven't received any updates that it works seamlessly with QBDT for Mac 2021. That said, we can't guarantee it won't run into any issues.
You can read through this article that contains the list of the minimum system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021.
On top of that, I'll add this handy resource to help you if you run issues along the way: Verify and rebuild data in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

We released the update for Ventura for QB Mac 2022 yesterday. We are working backwards through the other versions but should have the update released soon. Until then you probably should hold off on upgrading to Ventura.
The issue, as always, is that Apple doesn't provide much advance notice of when they'll release the final. We have to test each QB version against each beta update Apple ships. It just takes time. We've been working on Ventura issues, and providing feedback to Apple on things they broke, for months.
That should say QB Mac 2023... sorry.
I've been running QB Desktop for Mac 2023 with Ventura for about 2 weeks and and while I've had a few patches/updates to QB recently, NONE of them have fixed the ongoing issues, including the ones I've read here, like it opening multiple tabs when you launch invoicing, or crashing after printing, or inconsistent behavior of drop down windows, etc., etc.
I upgraded my OS and to QBD 2023 because of a much worse issue I was having with QBD 2021 where it was corrupting my QB file as soon as I opened it -- I lost several days of data that had to be re-entered.
This version "works" but there are so many bugs.
I'm running Desktop 2023 with Ventura and having the same problems. Even the Crash Catcher locks up, so there's no reports of the multiple crashes I have each session being sent to QB. I can only hope they figure it out. Latest software releases have been installed and files validated.
I'm here to help you with resolving the error with the Crash Catcher, @BrokerDon.
Can you tell me more about when will you receive this error? That will help us resolve the error you're having. There are some solutions that you can follow to prevent issues with your Crash Catcher.
First, try restarting your computer to give it a fresh start. Then, make sure to have your QuickBooks the latest update to make sure you have all the software improvements and bug fixes.
Once done, try running the Verify and Rebuild utility to fix possible data damage on your company file.
Here's how:

Thanks for referring to the Crash Catcher repair article; because my system continually crashed, I wasn't thinking I had a strictly crash catcher issue.... but I deleted ALL intuit .plist items, and have not experienced a crash since.
Once i upgraded to Ventura my QB 2021 desktop, version 20.0.10 R11>2 constantly crashes. When opening a new account, empty folders are added to the menu list. Closing them works sometimes, and other times a Crash Catcher appears. What a waste of time. I have spent hours trying to figure out how to fix this and have verified and rebuilt my accounts. Nothing works. No update has been provided and I've seen articles indicating that Intuit will no longer be supporting QB desktop any longer. So disappointing to have spent thousands of dollars on a product I'll no longer be able to use and transactions in its proprietary files that cannot be imported into other software.

You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert your data to QB Online or another cloud based accounting app.
Intuit is still supporting the desktop software. There were some articles last year about ending support for the UK version of QuickBooks Desktop for Windows. But that doesn't apply here.
The first thing to recognize is that the major change to your system is Ventura. The crashes while printing we have isolated so far to be caused by graphics in your form (Invoice, etc) that aren't at the background level. The workaround is to go into Layout Designer, select the graphic elements, and arrange them to the background. Can you give that a try? As far as we can tell that is a Ventura bug and not QB Mac. But first lets see if that is the issue you are seeing.
I'm not well informed on the multiple tabs issue - only that we fixed it prior to shipping the updates for Ventura compatibility. It also was something that only began in Ventura. It sounds like it isn't fixed on your system which implies some difference in configuration between your system and our own. Lets try wiping out the window save list and see if that helps:
1. Quit QuickBooks if it is running
2. Choose Go->Library in the Finder menu (You have to old the option key down to see the "Library" option
3. Open the Preferences folder
4. Drag all files that begin with com.Intuit.QuickBooks to the trash (for instance com.intuit.QuickBooks2017.plist)
5. Relaunch QuickBooks - did that improve it?
If that doesn't work, perhaps you have some utility or language software installed? Try a safe boot:
https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac
Once in safe mode launch QB Mac and see if the problems still occur.
Let me know what you find and we'll pursue it further.
Yes! Deleting preferences seems to be the answer. So far things are looking like and working like they should. If not, I'll check back in a few days. The reports of empty tabs are easy to find online like here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/compatibility-with-new-mac-os-vent...
I'm hopeful this fix does the trick. Thank you.
