We recently switched to QB online and discovered it is not possible to print signatures on AP checks as we could in the desktop version. We have found a few other features, that are important to our daily bookkeeping, that are missing in the online version. We are considering switching back to a desktop version, but before making another rash decision, has anyone found alternative methods to print signatures on checks? Should we go back to using a rubber stamp?
Allow me to share some information about printing signatures on checks in QuickBooks Online, attainmentcb.
Since QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online are two separate platforms, the availability of functionalities may differ for each program.
For now, we're unable to print checks from QuickBooks Online. You'll want to use a third-party app that offers this feature.
To check for apps compatible with QuickBooks:
Also, having this feature in QuickBooks Online is indeed a great idea and I’d appreciate it if you send your product suggestions straight to our Developers for consideration in future updates.

Thank you, TirzahC. I will submit a product suggestion and look at the 3rd party apps.
Does anyone have suggestions for 3rd party apps to use with QBO for printing checks with a signature? It looks like some of the apps will do more than just that.
I am also looking for this functionality. I currently need to run my checks through the printer twice, the first for the check information and the second through a word doc for just the signatures. I would also be interested in any other apps that would solve this problem
Hi there, @Jasonvandame.
I appreciate that you want to have the print signatures functionality in QuickBooks. Allow me to help share insights about this feature to help you with your business.
I can see how useful to have the print signatures on your check. Rest assured that I'll submit feedback directly to the Development Team to have it introduced. I also encourage you to add your vote for this one by sending a request to QuickBooks.
Here's how:
You can track your feature requests through our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
In the meantime, you may consider looking for a third-party app. QuickBooks supports thousands of various third-party applications for any functionality you may need. However, we're unable to recommend which app to use. You can check our Intuit App Center and type a keyword in the search box.
You can also go to the Apps menu from your QuickBooks Online account. Follow these steps:
Then, pick the app you wish from the list. You may also read reviews from other customers to select which app fits your needs.

Can you provide me with more detail regarding the word doc process for signatures?
We've been asking for this feature for over 4 years. The automated response about using a 3rd party app that does not exist is tiresome. This is the most basic of business functions, signing a check, why oh why haven't they added it yet???
Hi, Brad42. The QuickBooks team is always committed to providing better customer service and satisfaction.

We are currently unable to provide an estimated turnaround time for signature printing on checks. You'll want to provide additional feedback to let our developers know how this feature can benefit your business needs, so they can consider incorporating it into future product updates.

Agreed! I currently have to hunt down check signers because they are busy in the field. Why take a way a critical feature such as this? I gladly added my feedback. I don't understand why we have to suggest having a feature that was already on the Desktop version.
I FOUND A SOLUTION! This might help some of you.
I was able to add an "image watermark" to my home office printer, an inkjet Brother. It took a short while to position and scale my signature image, but now when I print my checks, the signature is automatically there. It only prints on the saved profile I use for checks so it doesn't show up on any other of my printouts. QuickBooks Online should have this functionality, but maybe you can add it to your setup like I did.
Hi, everyone.
I'll be sharing the steps depending on the QuickBooks products you're all using.
For attainmentcb, currently. QuickBooks Online only offers basic functionality in creating and printing checks. Since attaching an e-signature is unavailable, I suggest affixing your signature manually on every check you’ve printed or integrating a supported third-party application.
For KWalkerjdg, QuickBooks Desktop has a functionality to add an electronic signature for checks and paychecks. I'll show you how.
First, create the electronic signature:
Then, add and use the electronic signature for checks and paychecks. Here's how:
