We've used QB for years, currently using QB Premier 2018 desktop. We just recently started using Purchase Orders. Every time we try to print one (from both computers using the program) it pops up with a message that it's printing and a counter starts (see attached). It wants to print thousands of the SAME purchase order. I've had this count keep going up into the 5-digits before stopping it. Help please?
Hello there, @ AmericanRV.
In printing a purchase order, let's make sure to select the specific purchase order in the vendor center. It's possible that you may print other purchase order that is pending to be printed.
Here's how:

Hi MaryAnn,
Thank you so much for your help! Unfortunately none of these suggestions resolved the issue, but it DID get me thinking further about it and while I still don't have a clue to WHY it happened, I've resolved the issue.
We always use basic Intuit form for whatever it is we're doing, customized with our name, address, etc. and logo. Never had a problem. But your suggestions made me test it by using the program's stock Purchase Order template and it worked! Somehow that one template was corrupted. I wish I'd figured it out before I spent all this time banging my head against a wall...
In any event, I always get useful information from the QuickBooks Community and I really appreciate everyone's efforts to help.
I have the exact same issue. My QuickBooks account is new, meaning this is my first PO, with no previous "pending" docs. And I am experiencing the same issue. Mine is currently "previewing" the print job and is preparing up to page 4522... Can someone give a resolution for this?
Hello @Ash1212,
Have you been seeing this error in all default purchase order templates? I want to ensure that we can remove it so you can print your purchase orders with no issues at all.
Let's consider creating a purchase order using a default template via the sample company file. If it does not show you the same error after printing your purchase order, let's go back to your original company file and create a purchase order using new or other templates.
To create a new purchase order template:
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about the steps: Use and customize form templates.
But if the same error persists, we can utilize the in-product utility tool to get rid of it. Simply follow the steps outlined in this article: Resolving Potential Data Issues.
Additionally, you can also check this helpful article that'll help organize your expenses and manage all purchases you need to record: Accounts Payable workflows in QuickBooks Desktop.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comments. I'll be here to lend a helping hand.
Hi there,
I followed your instructions and simply created a new template for my PO's and Invoices, and it fixed the problem. I will not be using the old templates from now on as they seem to be the issue here. Thank you!

Thank you for this Thread!
I reinstalled QB trying to fix this- still a problem.
I selected another purchase order template in the dropdown, and it worked!
So I went to my template list, and weird, but the defective PO template was not listed in my template list.
But its working.
Thank you, thank you!!
Good afternoon, @dhickin1.
