I am modifying the PO Template. On the footer is a field called Long Text. It prints but I cannot check the box to present it on the screen. Why is it there if I can't access it from the screen to input text?

Thank you for your reply, I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that "Long Text Comment Box" is not editable on the screen. It just prints on the PO document? What is the purpose of it then? Is it just a place for people to handwrite on the PO? That seems odd.

Yes, you're right. The footer texts of a purchase order template are not editable on the screen. You can only do that when you edit the template. On the other hand, the purpose of that section varies per business. You can enter something about your company or any information that applies to every purchase order you make.
If you want to add a message on a particular PO, you can utilize the VENDOR MESSAGE field instead.
