Please reply where we can simply find QB Desktop Pro 2024 in the standalone, single-price, single license version, that's good for 3 years like the previous versions. Many of us neither want nor need the "Plus" subscription version. Thank you.

That's all that all of us are asking for here! Just point us to the single-license, single-pay version that is good for the next 3 years. No subscription! It can't be that hard!

I understand the need to be able to purchase the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) version you desire, Gordon. I'll share information about this.

The stand-alone version for 2024 is no longer available. With that said, you may want to upgrade to the latest version of the program (QBDT Pro Plus 2024) with support plans or purchase QuickBooks Online (QBO).

On the other hand, I recommend contacting our QBDT Sales team to ask for other alternatives you can avail.

Hello, I am trying to upgrade from qbooks premier contractor edition 2021 to the 2024 version, but when I go to help and  upgrade it only gives me the option to upgrade to online. Can you help with that?

You can purchase QB Desktop 2024 Premier Plus to upgrade your version. You must call Intuit Sales team to purchase it. Another option, you can purchase it thru selected partners and you can get $100 cashback.

No you really can't. Not interested in a subscription at all. 

I'll keep my old one if I can't find one being sold by someone else that decided to upgrade.

No, I have 2018. I wanted to get 2021 but none available except from scammers on Amazon. 

So far anyway.

I am guessing everyone on here likes to use the software to: download bank and CC transactions and send emailed invoices and quotes.  That is pretty much it.  Any other functionality can be done easily somewhere else.  Having our expenses for these basic do it yourself services go from $250 every 3 years to >$1000 per year is outrageous!  

To clarify, where do you purchase the new disc for 2024 for desktop Pro?

This part is confusing.  How do you find out pricing and details on what is offered

in QB Pro Desktop 2024.  I am trying to avoid any change to online, since I understand it

is a lesser quality plan.  I have many years of files from about 2002 I would need to access.

I do not connect my quickbooks to the internet for any reason

I agree that is a pile of "it."

Can comments include the cost?  I am not ready for sticker shock.

I was told even the lesser quality online thing costs more than the Desktop was before!!

Another option, contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and they can help to obtain the license and you can get $100 cashback. Another potential issue is you are using an ancient version (i.e QB Desktop 2002?). Ask Fiat Lux if they can help to upgrade your file first.

I am interested as well...I currently use desktop pro 2021 with enhanced payroll subscription (9 employees direct deposit) with data back for years...I need/want to upgrade to current desktop version with enhanced payroll service for direct deposit (no invoicing/AR/Inventory necessary).  What are my options and what do they cost?  Calls to QB have been useless as they only want to sell online version.

Quickbooks PRO has always had a buggy e-mail subsystem.   Its one of the many things Intuit has never bothered to get right in any version of desktop I've used.   Now they want more money for software that never worked right aka a subscription, and if you go only an opportunity to mine your data and sell it.  

I was able to find a copy, they do exist.   But yeah there are a lot of scammers.  

The only feature I really care about is the payment network.   It was nice to have QuickBooks payments, but I don't want a subscription to use their slow ACH transfer network.  I'm going to get a different payment network.
