QB Enterprise

Hello-

I am inquiring about a way to set up a team to approve bills in QB Enterprise however, without having the team be exposed to other confidential features in the system.

let me explain-

currently we use Bill.com for this process then we sync into an enterprise:

1. Vendor bills are being emailed to Bill.com

2. accounting enters the bill in bill.com (with the pdf bill attached) and assigns it to an approver in another dept, our media/creative team

3. the approver logs in, reviews the bill, if looks good then approver assigns already existing Customer/job and approves, otherwise denies the bill if incorrect

5. accounting pays the bill

All the above syncs into qb, no issues

my questions are

can this process as above be done in qb? With multiple users? And the other team that approve the bills can be set up with limits in qb?

anything similar can be done directly in qb so we can skip the extra monthly cost of bill.com?

if anyone can please provide step by step instructions then that’d be amazing.

thanks.

QB Enterprise

Yes, you can create a role for that specific user, ShulyM.

QB Enterprise lets you add and customize access for different user roles. For the permission mentioned above, go to the Users and Roles window to accomplish this task and select the appropriate role list. Let me show you how:

  1. From the Company menu, then select Users.
  2. Select Set Up Users and Roles.
  3. Enter the admin password, then select OK.
  4. Select the User List tab, then select New.
  5. In the Users and Roles window, tap the User List tab and tap the New menu.
  6. Type the user’s name and password in the appropriate fields.
  7. In the Available Roles section, pick the role you wish to assign for the user and then hit the Add button.
  8. Click OK.
