Anyone else having quickbooks working in windows 11. I'm still using QB2017 accountant edition because I know it and like it and do not want to upgrade. I installed my old hard drive into my not computer running windo
Hello there, OldGrey.
Let me clear up the situation so you can open QuickBooks Desktop 2017. Currently, only QuickBooks Desktop 2022 (Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Pro, and Enterprise) R3 or later is certified as fully compatible with Windows 11 64-bit.
If you choose to use Windows 11 for other QuickBooks versions, there may be some unexpected issues with the software. You can try performing the solutions provided in this article: Fix issues when QuickBooks has stopped working.
If it still doesn't work, you can install the QBDT 2017 version on the old Windows and continue using the program. Otherwise, I suggest upgrading to the latest version to prevent issues when opening QuickBooks.
In addition to this, our team is working to ensure compatibility. We’ll share any new information here and when the compatibility certification process is complete. Find out more about current system requirements by clicking the link I've outlined below.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.
Thank you for your help. I think I will get rid of windows 11 and install windows 10. Then both quickbooks 2017 and my Canon image class lazar printer will work again.

Try to reinstall QB in Win 8 compatibility mode. Otherwise, try downgrading your Windows OS to Win 10 Home with IE11 running.

JustinDaveC,
Thanks for your reply. I cannot even open the QB Pro 2017 program as I always did by double clicking on the icon, or going into the start menu & clicking "open". When I tried to use your email to get the QuickbooksToolHub, the download attempt fails & I get a message that "QuickbooksToolHub.exe was blocked because this type of file can harm your device". I have Windows 10 Home, so, if your compatible OS list is correct, it should work (as it always did for many years since I have had this computer). As far as I know, nothing has changed in my computer: perhaps there was an automatic Windows update?? Any suggestions on what might have caused the QBPro 2017 to stop opening? Any idea on how to get it to work again? Thanks.
PS to my previous message: My Windows 10 Home system is version 10.0.19045 Build 19045. Thanks.
We are still able to run QB Desktop 2008 or later on Win 10 Home without any issues until now. Can you take a screenshot of the error message?
