QBO Advance Certification Exam

I am BEYOND frustrated!!!  I just got locked out of the QBO Advanced Certification Exam for 60 days.  I found questions (or answers) could be taken more than one way and typos leading to ambiguity.  I have taken the Advance test all 3 times.  I have passed all sections but one and now I am locked out.  I have been through the self paced training more than once AND bootcamp and have spent countless hours and days studying and revisiting.  When taking the test, I have the supplemental guide open as reference to ensure I have all of the answers and still I fail based on ambiguity.  To have to take this test in its entirety over again in 60 days fills me with anger.  If I was not a good test taker or considered myself stupid, maybe I would be more accepting of the result but I am neither.   I am over it!!  So much for being Advance Certified.  I have better things to do with my time than try to pass this test.  My clients need me present more than I need to be Advance Certified.  Pity!

QBO Advance Certification Exam

Hi @Cathouse,

I can understand where you're coming from.

The QBO Advanced Certification Exam requires you to pass all sections of the exam, and you have up to 3 attempts to pass the whole exam. At this time that you're currently locked out to take the exam, I suggest preparing for it until the 60 days are up. This is to ensure you pass every section of the exam.

You can also visit this page if you have other questions about ProAdvisor Certification: Frequently Asked Questions about ProAdvisor Certification. This includes tips on how to about the Advanced Certification path.

Feel free to drop a reply below, in case you have other questions in mind. I'll be sure to get back to you.

QBO Advance Certification Exam

I am sorry to be rude but find the response laughable.  I almost know the material by heart.  I have prepared more the this certification more than I did writing & defending my thesis.   How about QBO takes the time to review the test for typos and ambiguous questions/answer?   At this point, I do not feel I should waste anymore of my time and effort.

QBO Advance Certification Exam

Is there anyway you can point me to the source for the PDF study guides for Advanced Cert prep 1 and 2 ?  I have passed the last three modules, after attending a webinar and receiving the provided supplemental guides.  Currently I cannot find any webinars that are live that are for any of the first 7 modules.   There are past webinars, which are great, but the training materials are not provided, only a screen recording of the webinar.

Thanks very much !

Hi there, janeknows.

Check out these this links for additional references about QuickBooks Online Certification:

Just in case you want to access your certification history, you can follow the steps in this article on how to do that: Access Your Certification History

Lastly, you can contact our QBOA and ProAdvisor Support Team if you have more questions about the certification. Open this link to get their contact details: Contact QuickBooks Online Accountant and ProAdvisor Support.

QBO Advance Certification Exam

Hi.  I'm in exactly the same boat you are.   I can miss only 1 question out of the 5 in the single section that I cannot seem to pass.   I was locked out for 60 days and then had to delay retaking this section because I became my mother's caregiver.  Now I have the upcoming deadline and am desperate to pass.

QBO Advance Certification Exam

I  completely agree!  I am not so stupid that I don't understand the ins and out of QB.  The test isn't hard - it's poorly written and only loosely based off the provided "training", if you can call it that. It's more like "how to sell quickbooks" than how to use the program. The information is NOT PROVIDED IN THE TRAINING. How much more loudly do people need to scream this for QB to listen and provide accurate, helpful training and corresponding exams.  Clients don't even care about the certification!

QBO Advance Certification Exam

I won't waste my time on the Advanced Cert until QB makes their tests more straight forward.  Accounting is straight forward and usually there is right and wrong.  It is a logical field of study.  QB just makes it difficult on the most primary level, it seems on purpose because they want to seem exclusive.  I have lost all my QB Certification history - Poof - all gone.  My most recent QBO On Line Cert is from Oct 2022 (History doesn't appear on my ProAdvisor account any longer). Plus, it is just absurd that these certifications wouldn't last a full year.  And you are right about learning a sales pitch.  I want training on how to use the program not how to sell it. If I knew more about using it, I might WANT to sell it, but the support sucks and these training modules suck and the exams are poorly written.  You are just lucky if you pass them.
