I'll share some information about changing your company information in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

The company name displayed on your account depends on the details you've entered in the Personal Info tab. You can change your company name in the Name section. I'll show you how to do it.

1. Sign in to QBSE.
2. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Intuit Account to open the Intuit Account Manager.
3. Choose the Personal info tab. Then enter your company name in the Name field.
4. Click Save.

On the other hand, the option to use your EIN isn't possible in QBSE since this is designed for Independent Contractors. You may consider switching to QuickBooks Online (QBO) and choosing the version that suits your needs. I don't have any employees as of yet, and i was having a hard time trying to use qb online, due to i don't have payroll or taxes taken out from the income i make. will the qb online still give me my est. quarterly taxes that i owe? i've never done the books or taken any accounting classes, this is all new to me and very confusing!

Actually, when I follow these steps I don't see a Personal Info icon/tab to click on..  Is that because I have the basic subscription?

The basic subscription will allow you to access your personal information in QuickBooks Self-Employed. To do this, click the Profile section instead of the Personal info tab to view your data successfully. To do so, here's how:

1. Sign in with your QBSE account. 
2. Hit the Gear icon, then under Profile, select Intuit account to open the Intuit Account Manager.
3. Click the Profile tab on your left navigation panel to access your personal information. This is also where you can edit your info.
4. Go back to the QBSE website, sign out and log in to your account to see the changes you've made.

I tried this and it only allows me to enter my First and Last name.  No company name.

I am sorry, but I do not have that option to enter Company Name.  I am a paying QBSE user and have been for 10 months.

1. Go to Help (?) and select Contact Us. If you're using the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, tap the + button and select Ask QB Assistant.
2. Enter talk to a human, then select Continue.
3. Select which way you want to connect with us.

• Have us call you - Get a call from a support expert.
• Chat with us - Start a conversation with a support expert.
