Same thing happening to me!!! Hover over a file and crashes my documents, open up QB's 2022 sometimes it works but most times it crashes and I have to keep reopening!!
Here is the problem with the customer support team- I often know way more than the person on the phone but I still have to start from the beginning pressing all the same buttons I’ve already pressed over 30 times, and teach them. Intuit took away the ProAdvisor phone number, pissing everyone off- then brought it back only to hire a bunch of nice representatives that are so new If you have been working with QuickBooks for a matter of years- you know more than the person you are talking with. It’s not helpful and no one has time to waste on that.
And they forced us into the yearly “plus” version claiming they would at least give us good support, but they pretty much hired a call center and gave them a manual to read from. Kind of like here were they don’t even bother to read the comments just copy-paste the same piece eventhough pretty much everyone told then they aren’t working. Truly horrible business practices.
Same automated reply i have gotten for the past few posts. Very disappointed. I had a phone call yesterday from an Intuit sales person, asking about my experience, boy did i give her an earful, all she could say was she was sorry i was not happy with my purchase. Seriously???
I am having the same issue with Quickbook Desktop pro plus 2022. Been unreliable since we upgrade. It would freeze and show not responding then close down. This is happening on 3 computer that is using quickbooks. Been spending hours and months talking to quickbooks. Every single one would do the same troubleshooting. Even level 2 support told me to reinstall using a local admin account. That did not work. No one seem to have a clue what is going on. They don't look at logs and anything to narrow down the issue. So frustrating.
And then this afternoon, i am trying to print a deposit slip and the program shut right down again. ARGG
Just installed 2022 two weeks ago and this is happening to me as well. I open a QB file and it buffers a minute and shuts down. Sometimes, it shuts down two times in a row. Other times, the file will open, but as soon as you click on an app/icon to do whatever task, it shuts down. I have to re-open it. There is something going on here. How do I fix this? So frustrating!
I'm having the same issue. Just installed 2022 the other day. After log in it just quits. Also I have been trying to work on an entry in the bank feed and it crashed there as well. I haven't lost any data but it's probably going to happen at some point since there is no autobackup. It's totally annoying that QB is still such a buggy, glitchy program after I've been using it for 25 years...Would like to know if there is an update on the way to fix this, otherwise I'll go back to 2016. The hefty yearly subscription for a single user would merit a quick fix here. I do have 2016 on my computer as well, but I would not think that's an issue? I haven't migrated all my accounts to 2022 yet.
Providing you with the best software experience is what we aim for, @jhlasound.
I've got some tips on how we can prevent QuickBooks Desktop from crashing.
Here are possible causes why QBDT stop working:
Make sure to update the company file to the most recent version. Please be aware that once the files are upgraded, accessing them from an earlier version is no longer possible. After that, I suggest going through these solutions to help you fix the issue. You can follow them in the order shown to check which one is working.
Here's a module you can read for the detailed solution steps: Fix issues when QuickBooks has stopped working.
I'm also adding these helpful resources to know more about how to handle common errors in running your data or QBDT:

Thank you for yet ANOTHER copy and paste solution. We really need a thumbs down button for these.
The work around so far is to turn off the Home Screen in QuickBooks.
The best solution would be to fix what got broken in the last patch.
Agreed! Thumbs Up for the post. The problem still exists and I have to tell my clients to hold the ALT key after typing in their credentials. Actively looking for a replacement for about 100 clients to replace QuickBooks.
Yes, Intuit has known about this issue since at least May 27, 2022 when this thread started, and reps continue to post and re-post the same tired suggestions that don't work.
And of course they don't work, because they are not capable of fixing whatever bugs Intuit introduced in the last patches when it replaced the embedded browser (which was IE) with their own buggy little solution, at the very last moment before MS pulled support, though we knew this would happen for over a year. Based on some Windows errors I've reviewed, I think they licensed the new browser (the one that doesn't work and crashes QuickBooks constantly) from some little company, so they may have little control over it. How clever.
This seems typical of Intuit development, now in India, over the last several years. Getting them to fix anything, much less do it fast, seems impossible.
Hello this is Dennis Krohn OneDayIT, Inc. I have been IT for 27 years and using Intuit since 1988.
Just grabbed the patch and updated on my machine to R5_45 R5_87 on customer's
Any one have access to R3 or R0 QB2022 Pro Plus download.
Home screen removal did not work
My guess also was IE.
Does anyone have the original Pro Plus 2022 or R3?
Does anyone have an earlier version of Desktop Pro Plus 2022 R3 R5
Hi there, 1dayit.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll be providing details on how QuickBooks updates to the latest release work. Then, ensure you'll be familiar with how the program helps you fix unexpected issues you might encounter.
QuickBooks Desktop has the option to update the program automatically or manually. With this, QuickBooks downloads or installs the latest updates when they're available and depending on the type of patch or release you have.
Since you've just updated to R5_45, you're unable to roll back from R3. This is because we update QuickBooks regularly to give you a better experience and fix issues. You can click this article for further details and see what’s new and improved in the latest updates to QuickBooks Desktop 2022: Release notes for QuickBooks Desktop 2022.
Lastly, I'm adding this article to view different details to guide you in effectively working your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Desktop. It includes topics about banking, customer and vendor transactions including payments.
Please don't hesitate to click the Reply button below if you have other concerns about QuickBooks updates. I'm always here to help you anytime, 1dayit. Take care and keep safe!

Consider to utilize the trial version for QBD 2020 and 2021 to upgrade your version for the time being. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 or wait for the upcoming QBD 2023 in October.
Lovely article about how to make the most out of Quickbook.
IF ONLY THE SOFTWARE WORKED.
Seriously. Why am I still going thru process after process after process to fix your glitchy product. If Apple and Google can send an update to fix issues, you can too. Why am I paying the subscription fee if you don' t stay on top of these things? Those " fixes" you suggest are the age old " Clear your cookies " solutions. 30 years ago it may have been acceptable. But there is obviously something wrong in your code since it's a widespread problem on a myriad of systems, all different.
I'm going to try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I can't believe QB has not fixed this mess. I also have QB 2022 Pro Desktop.
So i also have customer who QB Pro 2022 R5_87 crashes every few minutes
Can we please get QB Pro 2022 R0 R3 R4? I hear they don't crash so my customer can get work done. We have 2 tickets open, 1 with OOP and customer is ready to cancel using Quickbooks. I have multiple customers up for renewal but we will not renew until this is fixed.
Agree support is not very good. Have been IT 27 years and QB Pro Advisor at least 15 years
Please all Intuit has to do to help us is give us access to QB Pro 2022 R0-R4
you are not fixing the problem
Give us access to download QB Pro 2022 R0-R4 until you get this fixed. Our customers can at least work.
Do you really care?
we have case open with Office of the President and that is going nowhere.
