Quickbooks Desktop Kernelbase Error

Hello!

This morning I updated an employee's computer to all of the latest drivers and the latest Windows 11 Version 22H2 update, as her computer was having another issue. Since updating, however, Quickbooks has constantly been crashing after making changes to the file.

We run Quickbooks 20 and it is completely up to date. The issue seems to be coming from the KERNELBASE DLL.

I have done some fixes online but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone encountered this before? How was it fixed?

The log found in event viewer was:

Faulting application name: QBW32.EXE, version: 30.0.4016.3000, time stamp: 0x638a511c

Thanks for sharing detailed information on your concern, @MVHP_Gabe.

I appreciate you trying all the steps to resolve the crashing issue.I'm here to help you sort things out and help you with this unexpected behavior.

These may be caused by issues on the computer itself or by how QuickBooks interacts with your system. Before installing the update make sure to always update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release as it becomes available to ensure you have all the updated components.

If none of the provided troubleshooting steps worked for you, it'd be best to contact your IT Team. This way, they can help you set up your program in the system.

I'm adding this link where you can check the operating system, hardware, software, and other requirements to run QBDT 2023: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2023

Also, the following resources below outline the solutions and other possible causes of QuickBooks Desktop unexpected behavior:

There was a missing update on the computer that we didn't realize hadn't installed. It installed when we restarted for something else and it's been working fine since.
