Quickbooks Desktop POS 19.0 Pro Level

Hello

I read that Quickbook Desktop POS 19.0 will be impacted by Quickbook Desktop discontinuation policy after Oct 03,2023.

So just wanted to clarify if Quickbook Desktop POS 19.0 is getting discontinued or the add on services supporting it like merchant account, etc.

Thank you

The software will be a dead stick with no merchant services.  You will need to get a third party integration or to move to Shopify.

Interested on an integration to Intuit Payments or jsut want to continue using the QB POS?  Either way will require  integration  using a third party.  inbox me for out solutions.

I'd like to add more details about the service discontinuation, dhaval.

I agree with jecalderon. QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 will discontinue the following software features and support on 10/03/23.

  • Software security updates
  • Intuit QuickBooks Payments
  • QuickBooks Point of Sale Gift Card Service
  • Mobile Sync
  • Intuit Service method of Store Exchange
  • Webgility e-commerce integration
  • Vendor Lookup Service

Moreover, Shopify provides a customized POS option that is compatible with QBDT. You have the option of using Shopify or finding another POS third-party provider.

I'll include these handy modules about the discontinuation:

Thank you for your reply.

I've just one question,

Will Quickbook Desktop POS 19.0 be discontinued?

If yes, how do I upgrade to later version.

Hi there, @dhavalkakadiya.

As my colleague Mich_S mentioned above, yes, the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 will discontinue on October 03, 2023. Together with the other software features stated by her.

The QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 is the latest and last version of POS. This means that the option to upgrade to a newer one is no longer available in QuickBooks.

However, if you're referring to upgrading your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) subscription, you can refer to this article on how: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, or Enterprise.

For detailed information, kindly visit: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.

Moreover, I'll also share this link where you can search for articles that can serve as your reference to guide you manage your QBDT file: QuickBooks Desktop Help Articles.

Feel free to leave a reply if you have additional queries about QuickBooks products. The Community team always has your back. Have a good one!

Ok thank you for clarification.

So, we as user of Quickbook POS 19.0, do we have any other option from Quickbooks for POS use?

Thank you for coming back, dhavalkakadiya.

Yes, we have a new POS system for QuickBooks Desktop, and it is through Shopify

For more details about the new POS system, you can visit this page: Powerful POS. Smarter retail.

If you want to switch from your current QuickBooks Desktop POS to Shopify, you  can use this link for a more detailed and smooth migration process: Shopify has your next POS.

I think I'm really screwed then.  I unfortunately use Desktop POS 19 Pro, upgraded to AB Enterprise accounting 22 and use Intuit for credit card processing.

If I'm reading this correctly, my pos will quit working with the other 2 in 6 months

i also have 3 "registers" so i will have to buy all new printers/ pin pads, etc also?

need some advice.  NOT a good time for a small business to endure all these costs

Thank you for joining this discussion, Elgado.

Beforehand, could you please clarify which download link you are referring to?

If you're looking for the link to download QuickBooks Desktop, you can find the download link for your specific version of QuickBooks by following these steps:

1. Visit the Downloads & Updates page.

2. From the dropdown menus, select your country, the product you are using, and lastly the specific version.

3. If you are uncertain about the version of the product you are using, see Not sure what version you use?

4. Once you have made your selections, click on the Download button to start the download process.

If you are already using QuickBooks Desktop and are considering upgrading to a newer version, you can find helpful information in the section on Upgrade to a New Desktop version. This page provides step-by-step instructions on how to transition to the latest version smoothly.

On the other hand, if your inquiry pertains to the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale, please note that this product has been discontinued. As such, there is currently no available option to upgrade to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and download the link for it.

If you have follow-up questions or concerns, please feel free to return to this page. I'm always ready to assist you.
