Join nowUpgraded to 2019 as 2016 support is ending. Program seems to work fine except every time I try to download transactions, the program immediately crashes and generates the Crash Report App. 2016 worked fine. Any advice here? Frustrated in Austin.......

Hi there, @JWRJr.
This isn't the impression we want you to have about QuickBooks. We advise all older version (2016 and older) to upgrade to avoid interruption with the add-on services we offered.
Meanwhile, you have me here to help you report your Mac 2019 crashing problem.
I've checked my tools to verify if there's an on-going investigation about this. However, there are none. I'd advise reaching out to our Customer Care team to report this. They need to get information from an affected user so they can fill out the Create Investigation form with necessary data.
That way, they can gather data about the downloading experience and come up with the necessary fix. They also can perform some steps with your company file if you permit the screen sharing tool.
I’m here to help you more if you have other concerns. Please also keep me posted on how the call went. I'd like to make sure this is taken care of.

My issue has been resolved. Thanks to you and your team. JR
I'm glad to hear everything is running smoothly, JWRJr. The Community always has your back if you ever need assistance again in the future. Take care.
Hello,
How did you solve the issue? Something that I can do it myself or need to contact QB tech team?
I am having the same issue....
What did you do to resolve it?
Hi there, @sdavies99 and @vas .
Thanks for joining this thread. Allow me to chime in and fix the crashing issue with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.
A sudden crash may cause by damage QuickBooks functions. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program can help fix the issue. This process is also called a Clean Install.
Here's how:
1. Close/Exit QB and click the Finder menu on your desktop, then Go.
2. Select Applications, then drag the QB icon to the Trash.
After that, remove QuickBooks PLIST files to revert all preferences to its default settings. Here's how:
1. Go back to the Finder menu, then Go.
2. Hold the Option key, then select Library.
3. Open the Preferences folder, then find the PLIST files with QB and your version in the name, then drag them to the Trash.
4. Empty the Trash.
Restart your computer, then reinstall QBDT. For the detailed steps, check out this article for further guidance: Install and set up QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
For additional information, I'm also including this article that tackles reinstalling QuickBooks for Mac using clean install.
That should get you back in the right track! Let me know how everything goes in the comment. I'm only a few clicks away if you need anything else. Have a good one.
THank you so much for your suggestions. I Did these steps three different times and still having the same problem.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks Susan
Hi there, @sdavies99.
I'm here to help route you to the right Specialist to resolve the crashing issue with QuickBooks Desktop Mac.
I can see you've already tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague @FritzF. Technically, the Clean Install should help fix any damage related issues if a simple reinstall can't. However, if the issue persists, it'd be best to reach out to our Mac Specialist so they can isolate the problem further using their tools.
You can check the information provided by @HoneyLynn_G on how to get their contact information.
Should you need other references in the future, please free to access our help site: Help articles for QuickBooks Mac.
Keep me posted if you have other questions about the crash error. I'm here to help however I can.
