Just to let you know I just talked to Brent at Intuit and the are not going to make any updates to QB2019 if you want to fix it you will have to move to QB online paying a monthly fee. the are not working with software anymore.
Guess its time to get or move to a new acct software.
I'm running QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2021. I would certainly select the "Contact Us" from QuickBooks as recommended to the on the list of affected users, but I can't even open QuickBooks so it's not possible to select "Contact Us."
What are the options other than cloud-based QuickBooks? It's against a lot of client's policy to use cloud-based services and I need to get this resolved ASAP.
I got the same problem: BUT I LOADED ACROBAT READER, and I was able to print the pdf.
Download the FREE READER. It is an EXTRA STEP, you have to download the QB pdf. Then use
reader to open file and then print.
Charles
So somehow I was able to get QuickBooks to open and was able to download the software update. All is good now.
Guess its time to get or move to a new acct software.
You can start from scratch on a new accounting software to lower your conversion cost. Then you can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2023 or 2024 to access your historical data for good.
we too are suffering from this crash..... can we please have an update? its been over a week. my company is held hostage until this issue is resolved! HELP PLEASE~
same here. get a fix? DOES ANYONE HAS AN UPDATE FOR US? wtf isn't this pinned as a top post?
They have released patches for QBD 2021-2023. As I know, no outstanding issue.
sadly we are 2019. i have 2 company files that cant be accessed. over 20 years of data. and naturally, last copy that worked was about 5 months ago, prior to release of sonama. we havent been able to access anything, pay bills, or recon any of our accounts. each day we wait for fix we are spiraling deeper and deeper. does anyone has any input here?
We are suffering form the qb 2019 sonoma crash and need any help! is there a workaround? at least to even get data that will be accepted by qb online? this is destroying us each day we cannot access our files. HELP US PLEASE SOMEONE!
You can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 for good if required.
Do you have QB Desktop 2023? What error message did you encounter?
Login to your CAMPS and make sure your license is active.
downloaded and says i only have 15 uses available. i have no license # or Product #..... help. please text [Removed]
I have QB 2019 I it is not supported anymore by QB so you either have to remove Sonoma or put it on another computer that does not have Sonoma on it which is what I did. You should be able to set QB 21,22,23 and they are supposed to work.
Hi I talked to them (Bret) yesterday and they told me they are not giving more updates or support to this software, if I wanted to continue using QB I have to move to online paying a hefty monthly fee, so I guess we are stuck with this and also my company is suffering because of this, guess its time to move to any other brand or type of software.
Yes, I have 2023, I don't know what "CAMPS" means, but the "error message" is that QuickBooks simply won't open. Instead, there is just an eternally circling rainbow icon. I can't access any of the financial information that I need to keep my business running.
If your license status is active, consider to reinstall your QBD 2023 to make sure. I haven't encountered any issues over the past few days after the patch was released. You may also consider to install QBD 2024 to compare.
Partial solution for accessing files in QB 2019:
In applications, pressing simultaneously Command and Shift keys double click in QB.
This will allow to open the customer data and other functions. Any intention to record or edit will crash QB but at least data is available. Also, it is possible to export data to QB online and in Windows format which leaves a file in the format QBB which can be uploaded to QB online.

We appreciate you for sharing a workaround, ECosoi.
As for your issue, shrinkjay. I can see the urgency of being able to access your financial information.

I clicked your link to tell your support team that I'm having this problem, too. But its instructions must be archaic, because I find no Contact link where they said to find them. My accountant needs a report from me, so I can meet an already extended IRS deadline. This problem is really unacceptable and undermines my confidence in Intuit.
Hello there, Louis. I understand the impact this situation has had on your business tasks.

Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
I feel the same way. this is just going to lead to them telling me my best option is to upgrade to the latest version!
