QuickBooks Pro 2012

I am attempting to migrate P2V a 2012 Standard Windows Server with QB Pro 2012 installed.
I am using Carbonite Replication to replicate the physical to the VM and then fail over.

The entire machine replicates and operates and all applications work accept for QBPro 2012.

When I try to run it on the new VM we get the message/popup
[Error 3371, StatusCode - 11118] QuickBooks could not load the license data. This may be caused by missing or damaged files.

Plus some other errors in regard to license.

Is the licensing structure based on CPU ID? Thus causing the issue as the CPU ID on the VM is completely different then on the Physical machine?

This problem is usually because of damaged data. You can perform troubleshooting steps to fix this.

Here's how:

  1. Download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub.

  3. Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
  4. Follow the steps for the issue you see.
  5. Update and back up QuickBooks.

Refer to this article for the detailed steps: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

I am also adding this article about the discontinuation of service as you are using an old version of QuickBooks Desktop. Check this article for an upgrade option: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy and upgrade information.
