Hi there, does anyone know about using QBPOS on a tablet? I'm using it on a desktop and now that they will no longer service it I want to transfer the data to a tablet so I can access its information while using Shopify POS. I was told that once you migrate over to Shopify, Shopify will not carryover the customer 'history'. I need to access that and would like to keep it all on one computer. Sadly Shopify only runs on a Tablet or iPad. If anyone has any experience will using QBPOS on a tablet please let me know how it works for you and what device you are using. Thanks in advance.
Good day, igedesign.
Allow me to share some information about managing your data in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
You're right. QuickBooks Desktop is changing its Point of Sale system to the Shopify POS app. But since you already have a Shopify account, you can migrate your QuickBooks Desktop POS data smoothly. This includes customers, vendors, inventory items, and locations.
Here's an article to learn more about the migration process: Migrating and integrating QuickBooks Desktop POS with Shopify POS.
You can also visit our QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale page for more information.
Feel free to get back to me if you have other questions or concerns about managing your data. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Keep safe!
The only way you will pull this off is hosting the QBPOS on a remote server. The RDS will nicely allows you running QBPO from the IPAD. Use Right Network, Ace Cloud. BossKeeper offers help in this migration. These is the best options out there.
I can download the program but the tablet won't open it. It says I need to get the app but it's no longer in the app store. Suggestions? Or am I using the wrong tablet? Galaxy Tab A8. SM-X200
Hi Archie, I replied to your message but I think it did not continue on your direct tread. I hope that you could be of some assistance. I'm attaching it again to this message. "I can download the program but the tablet won't open it. It says I need to get the app but it's no longer in the app store. Suggestions? Or am I using the wrong tablet? Galaxy Tab A8. SM-X200"
Hello, igedesign. Let me help you with your concern on behalf of my colleague Archie.
I've checked with my tools, and I can download, open, and use the Shopify POS. To troubleshoot the issue, check if your app store is updated to the latest version. An outdated app store version may cause interruptions to the system and prevent the app from functioning correctly.
To update your app store, please go to your device's settings and look for the "App Store" or "Google Play Store" option. From there, you should be able to check for any available updates and install them if necessary.
Once you've updated your app store, try downloading and opening the POS again. If you still encounter any issues, please contact Shopify so they can further investigate the root cause of the problem or provide you with an installer.
Another option is to download the Shopify app directly from their website; you can visit their official website and locate the App Store section. Once you have reached the App Store section, you can browse through a wide range of apps available for download.
We'll keep our ears open for additional queries when handling QuickBooks POS. Please don't hesitate to let us know in the comments below, and we'll get around to providing further help. Keep safe.
Hi Ailene, I'm not sure if you're reading my message correctly. I'm trying to download the "Quickbooks POS" onto my tablet. I need my old client history that "won't" transfer over to Shopify POS. I contacted Intuit before QBPOS was discontinued and the tech support said the program could run on a Android Tablet, so I bought one. You can still download the program on the Intuit site but it won't open on the tablet. I tried to find the QBPOS v19 app in the app store but it cannot be found. I'm NOT trying to download Shopify I already have it. I just need QBPOS so I can access it's client history since it won't migrate over to Shopfiy. Does this make sense? I need QBPOS on the tablet. Please advise.
Intuit says you can use their POS on a tablet. Not sure what you're comment means.
I appreciate you for adding clarification about your concern with downloading QuickBooks POS to your tablet and for performing some steps to achieve this, igedesign. Let me route you to the right support team to assist you further on this matter.
I recommend contacting the Shopify Support Team. This support is the best resource for such inquiries, as they can request account information. They can verify further why you're unable to download the QuickBooks POS on the tablet and resolve it so you can access the old client history.
In case you need steps on how you can resolve unexpected errors you might encounter when opening your company file in QuickBooks POS, you can read this article: Errors when opening your company file in Point of Sale.
I'll make sure to circle back and provide the necessary support if you have further questions or need assistance handling your data with POS. Take care always, igedesign.
I'm not sure what I'm NOT making clear! I'm NOT NOT NOT trying to download any Shopify program. I just want to download QBPOS onto a android tablet! This is a Intuit issue. This must be an AI answer because if a person was truly reading my question they would see that I want the old QBPOS on a tablet. Real person please reply with a answer and SOLUTION

There is no such a App. This does not exist and this is why you are not fiding an App to download to your tables.
The closest you can get is to installed a Remote Desktop Client on your Tablet which will allow you to run the sodtware from a remote server.
Sadly this seems to be another AI response. It's obvious that no real person is reading my questions. It will be interesting how QB will survive if they cannot have a true customer service person troubleshoot.
