Is it possible to add a column to the sales order fullfillment worksheet screen. We would like to see ship date on that screen not just sales order date- we have looked and dont see anywhere to edit layout. If not there is a field called shipping details- that always seems to be blank what info should be rolling in there?
thank you
Hi there, @lupander1.
Currently, the option to add another column for Ship Date is unavailable in QBDT version 19.0. It is only available in QBDT version 18.0. Although, you can record it in an Excel spreadsheet to keep track on the ship date.
I added a screenshot to know more about the comparison between QBDT 19.0 and QBDT 18.0.
You can pull up Open Sales Orders by Item Report and an Open Purchase Orders Detail Report. Then you can export and combine it in Excel spreadsheet.
For future reference, I can see this article to be handy with setting up Advance Inventory against your sales order: Fulfill a Sales Order using Advanced Inventory.

In the Sales order fulfillment worksheet on the Dashboard tab there is a column named "SHIP DETAILS". What is its function, what populates it? Can I add data to it from a Sales Order form?
In my Sales order fulfillment worksheet it is always blank.
Thanks,

Hello there, @DavidMG_SLC.
Thanks for posting here in the Community. Allow me to share some information about the Ship details column.
In QuickBooks Desktop, the Ship details column is used to manage the shipping details from the new Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet dashboard. Optionally, you can choose to have the shipping details copied to the sales order. Those shipping details are always available via the Dashboard, in the Ship Details column.
For further information about the Ship details feature, you can check out this PDF: What's New for QuickBooks 2019.

How to put details or data on the column named "SHIP DETAILS".?
Hello, AB-017.
Welcome to the Community, I can share some information that'll help you how to put details in the Ship Details column.
By clicking the ship button and shipping manager will retrieve the shipping cost from the carrier and change the shipping details by creating the shipping label. QuickBooks will automatically update each sales order with the correct shipping information provided by the shipping manager.
Additionally, I've added this article that'll help you to track sales order fulfillment progress: Pick tab in Sales Order Fulfillment.
I'm always around to lend a hand if you have additional questions about ship details. Take care and stay safe always.
Are we just supposed to know that there is no invoicing from here. ? Since we are adjusting the packing slip to what we are able to send why do I not see an invoice to build option from here? I am just to go back and build the invoice. This is clumsy .and confusing. I haev ;been doing it the old way cause this module is fujnky and hard to explain why to workers.- I want it to work so I am taking a stab at it again before we get the hand held device to pick from. I miss the simiple old fullfillment sheet.

Hello, piehtool.
I'd like to help you figure out why you don't have the option to create an invoice on your Sales order fulfillment worksheet.
The invoice should be shown when you have open Sales orders. Since it's not there, I can guide you on how to troubleshoot the QuickBooks Desktop program. This odd behavior happens when there's an update, system maintenance, or data damage.
Let's begin by creating a backup of your company file before updating the program. This is done so that you can undo the changes if there's an error. After updating, you can check back if the data is there.
If there are still no changes, you can proceed to run Verify to scan any program errors. Then, if there's an error you fix it using the Rebuild process. You can refer the steps here: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
However, if there's no error and the data is still not in the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet window, I'd suggest downloading the QuickBooks File Doctor. Here's an article for more information about the steps: QuickBooks Desktop doesn't start or won't open.
I've added this article for your future tasks about personalizing your forms in QuickBooks Desktop: Use and customize form templates.
If you need further assistance, I'll be here and ready to help anytime. Have a good day.
