Appreciate the additional info (turning off anti-virus). Windows 10 is a supported Operating System for QuickBooks Desktop 2020. Just make sure to natively install it on your computer. QuickBooks requires you to use Windows natively and not through an emulator or virtual environment.
If you have it natively installed, you'll want to use the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool from the tool hub. Here's how:
Once done, open your QuickBooks again. Getting the same results? Please continue Steps 3-5 in this article to resolve the issue: Fix QuickBooks Desktop install errors.

I opened the Tool Hub and selected Desktop File Doctor, but the program (file doctor) crashed for some reason. I even uninstalled/reinstalled Tool Hub but got the same windows dialog box that the program has stopped working. I have Windows 10, and also turned off my antivirus (Avast) temporarily.
