Won't print a label, but it does charge my account. Talked to stamps.com. Figured updating to a newer software would fix it, nope

Good day,  ECDEVRB 5BTVC.

I can provide you additional information and help you get pointed in the right direction. I want to ensure that your Point of Sale is updated to the newest release version of QuickBooks.

To check your version here's how:

1. Sign in to your point of sale system.

2. Go to the Help menu and select About QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.

3. Review the release number.

The release number tells you which version you have. It looks like this: Release V18 R1.

To check if the shipping manager was set up correctly, you can check this article to help you set up and use QuickBooks Shipping Manager.

I've got some resources that you might need for additional information about the QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy and upgrade information.

Keep your post coming if you need more help. Have a great day!

Hello there, @ECDEVRB 5BTVC.

Allow me to join the thread and lend a hand about printing labels.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Enterprise 2014 has no access to the internet due to the discontinuation policy. To know more about this, refer to this article: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy and upgrade information

As for your QuickBooks Desktop 2020 version, let's ensure that it is updated to the latest release. It keeps your software up-to-date, so you always have the latest features and fixes.

Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Go to the File menu at the top.
  2. Then, Close Company/Logoff.
  3. Go back to the File menu and choose Exit.
  4. Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon on your desktop, then select Run as administrator.
  5. While on the No Company Open screen, pick Update QuickBooks from the Help menu.
  6. In the Options tab, choose Mark All and Save.
  7. Mark the Reset Update box in the Update Now tab.
  8. Click the Get Updates button.
  9. Once the Update Complete appears, close and re-open the program.
  10. If you get the message to install update, select Yes. Restart your computer after the installation.

You can check this link for the outlined steps: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Once done with the above steps, try to print labels again. Check to see if it works. Here's also a resource that you may find helpful: Intuit QuickBooks Shipping Manager.

Please let me know how things go on your end. I want to ensure this gets resolve for you. Take care.

I just updated it when I posted this. IT prints UPS labels just fine. It is a stamps.com thing. 2 different software packages same issue. I seriously doubt it ever had anything to do with the software revision
