The payee box is missing when I try to write a check

Thank you for posting your concern here in QuickBooks Community. I'll ensure you're able to see the Payee box from the Check window, @timyoon.

We're supposed to see the Payee box on the check window when creating a check from the + New button. This is possibly the browser has enough cache to store data that's why we're unable to see this function.

In this case, I'd recommend opening QuickBooks Online (QBO) on a private or incognito browsing mode to isolate this issue. This mode doesn't store local files or cache which in the latter part we'll know may be caused by a web page hurdle.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

From there, run QBO and see if the Payee box is appearing. If it works, I suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Otherwise, you can use another supported browser to run QBO and create a check.

I've got help articles that you can look up tp with printing checks and how to adjust your print settings:
