To get rid of that notification, you need to log into your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account as an Admin. Before doing so, ensure that you're in a single-user mode by going to the File menu at the top and choosing Switch to Single-user Mode at the drop-down to complete the update.

The error message you've received happens if the file is read incorrectly on a Windows computer. To resolve this, let's perform the troubleshooting steps below:

Once confirmed, update your QuickBooks Desktop again.
However, if the notification is still there, let's run the clean install process. To start, you'll need to gather all of your QuickBooks Desktop information (QBDT license number, product number, product year, and version) from your Account Management Portal. Then, you also need to download the installer for your version of QuickBooks.
When done, here's how to begin the Clean install process:
After you complete this process, log in to your QuickBooks Desktop and update again.
