When you use QuickBooks Payments to process customer payments in QuickBooks Online, it can take a few days to get the money into your bank account.
If you set up instant deposits, you can request to get funds into your banks account in less than 30 minutes. You can also schedule instant deposits to run automatically for specific days of the week. Here's how to get set up and get instant deposits. You can also get instant deposits in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you haven't already, sign up for QuickBooks Payments. You need a QuickBooks Payments account to get instant deposits.
Then add your debit card to QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks uses your debit card to deposit the money into your checking account. It must be a Visa or Mastercard connected to your checking account at your bank or credit union.
Tip: If you have a QuickBooks Checking account, we set your QuickBooks Checking Debit Card as your default so you can take advantage of the 0% fee. You can't connect prepaid bank cards, ATMs, credit cards, or cash cards like PayPal.
Each day, eligible customer payments you process go into your available balance. This balance is the available money you can deposit instantly. To see your available balance:
You can get an instant deposit if there's an available balance. Important: You can get the entire available balance, not a portion of it.
Follow these steps each time you want to request an instant deposit. Make requests before 3 PM PT to get your money on the same day. After 3 PM PT, we process any remaining payments at the normal speed. You can request them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:
You’ll see the money in your bank account in minutes. It can take up to 30 minutes depending on your bank. You'll get an email after we successfully deposit the money.
You can also schedule instant deposits for certain days of the week. We check and instantly deposit your entire available balance three times a day at 9:15 AM PT, 2:15 PM PT, and 9:15 PM PT. To schedule automatic instant deposits:
