What’s the issue with the chronic glitches and errors? Every couple weeks there’s something else. I have QuickBooks on multiple devices, so it’s the application.

There’s always some glitch or error that’s preventing me from running my business like I need to. I’ve been using QuickBooks for 12 months now and I’ve easily had five such glitches.

Hello there, @Gutter guy. I'd love to help you with your issue when using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To ensure we're on the same page, can you share with us the specific glitch and error message you're getting? 

 

If you're using the QBO mobile app, in the meantime, we can clear the app's data to refresh QuickBooks and fix any common issues when accessing the account. Here's how:

 

Android:

  1. Press the menu at the top right.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Refresh Data.
  4. Click Yes.

 

iOS:

  1. Select the menu at the top right.
  2. Choose Help & Feedback
  3. Select Refresh Data and Refresh.

Because QB can’t get their life together and fix their jankey software. We could not do payroll today because their updates are fritzing again and won’t calculate taxes. But you can go on a list to get a notification when they do decide to fix it.

some of the glitches using quickbooks online includes:

not showing a QR or payment link on pdf invoices. I had this feature before and now I cannot find it anymore

When editing a bill from an image uploaded through banking/receipt when typing in the description the typing shows backward. Super anoying

We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this. It could be that the stored cache in the system is the reason why a payment link on pdf invoices is not showing.

 

Let's start with accessing your QuickBooks account through a private browsing window. This will help us determine if this is a browser-related issue since this mode doesn't save site data and cache files. 

 

Here are the shortcut keyboards:
 

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

 

If it works, we'll have to go back to your normal browser and perform a clear cache to clean up your system. Doing this process will also enhance your browsing experience.  Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers to further isolate the issue.

We have been using Quickbooks Elite Payroll for about 9 months now....they have made mistakes every month with our payroll taxes. Everymonth something and the resolution has been unsatisfactory timing wise. Some of my employees live paycheck to paycheck and when they are shorted 300.00 in one check with no explanation or timely turn around of fixes this is unacceptable. We will be lookin for another service.
