When are 1099s going to be emailed to my contractores?

Intuit has managed to fail spectacularly sending out 1099's this year, but they're not admitting how bad it is. The US Post Office average delivery time for letters is 2.5 days:

The USPS states:

"Currently, 98 percent of the nation’s population receives their mail and packages in less than three days."

 

Given the various threads here with statements like yours, @kcochran1, there is just no way Intuit completed mailing the 1099's 18 days ago. Any assertions by Intuit that we should expect it to take up to ~two weeks for the USPS to delivery a letter are nonsense. This just means they didn't send them on time, which (when your recipients finally get them), you should be able to verify using the postmark.

 

Come on Intuit, just admit you screwed up.

is the information still true for 2025? I am not finding the sent link nor have my 1099 been emailed. I filed 218 and I have probably been contacted by 40% of that.

Before we begin, could you clarify what you mean by "Is the information still true for 2025" in your first statement? This will help ensure that we effectively address your question.

 

Once you submit your 1099 forms to the IRS, QuickBooks will notify you of your filing status via email. Additionally, you can check your filing status anytime in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to confirm that the filing was successful. To check your status, please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open your QBO, then go to Taxes.
  2. Select 1099 filings.
  3. View the status of the e-filing under Filing status. Below are the Tax filing statuses.
  • Not Submitted: You haven't e-filed Form 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC with the IRS. You can continue revising it.
  • Submitted: You have e-filed the forms to the IRS. Reminder: If you need to revise it, you'll need to file a manual amendment. Use the IRS instructions and forms to do so.
  • Received by IRS: The IRS has received your form and is either processing it or has already processed and approved it. Customers who have submitted their 199 E-File forms will receive a confirmation email approximately a week after the IRS accepts and confirms submissions. 

 

4. Click View 1099 to view a PDF copy.

You can verify whether your 1099 form has been emailed by checking the Recipient's copy.

When are 1099s going to be emailed to my contractores?

My question is in line with the subject question, when will 1099 be emails? The send a link is no longer there. I have alot of questions to get it digitally. Our status says mailed and accepted. But mailed hasn't reach anyone yet.

When are 1099s going to be emailed to my contractores?

This is the third year that our contractors have not received their 1099s via email.  They do receive paper copies by regular US mail, but not by email.  I was tempted to go to another company for our 1099s this year but was assured by the Intuit Quickbook helpline that the problem had been "fixed." 

 

Much to my frustration, our contractors did NOT receive their 1099s by email, yet again!  After being on the phone with the helpline for nearly an hour and STILL not getting answers, I decided to just email the 1099s to our contractors myself.  Very frustrating!
