When you say Record tax payment screen, I can think of two possible tasks you want to accomplish, nate26. I'll ensure you can complete the recording procedure to keep track of your transactions accordingly.
Before we begin, I'd like to verify if you wish to record a payroll or sales tax payment. If the Record tax payment screen isn't loading while you're attempting to document a sales tax payment, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-111134) where users are experiencing a blank screen when paying sales taxes. Rest assured that this case is currently being worked on with utmost urgency.
In keeping with this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team so they can include your account in the list of affected users and receive regular updates on the progress. To do this, here's how:
- Sign in to your QBO company.
- Go to the Help (?) menu.
- Select the Search tab.
- Click the Contact Us button.
- Select the Payroll or Ask about something else topic in the What can we help you with? page.
- Choose a way to connect (Callback or Chat).
On the other hand, if you need to track a payroll tax payment, one possible reason the Record tax payment page isn't loading is that your browser has accumulated too many cached files. Let's clear or remove outdated ones to prevent potential viewing and performance issues with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Start troubleshooting by pulling up your account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
- Control + Option + P (Safari)
Once signed in, go to the Taxes menu and select either the Payroll tax or Sales tax menu to record the payment.
If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. After that, restart your browser and log back into your QBO account to refresh the system.
However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend clicking the browser's Refresh icon (please see the screenshot below) or using other supported browsers.
Moreover, you can monitor and manage your payroll tax and sales tax payments by pulling up reports in QBO. To guide you on how to do so, check out any of the articles below:
