Buy nowSometimes, when entering an invoice, the suggested transactions option pops up and sometimes it does not. I've spent hours speaking with agents to ask how to open this when it does not pop up automatically, only to go through the exact same trouble shooting techniques (yes time is marked billable, yes the settings are correct) and they cannot figure it out either.
I've read the suggestions here to open an invoice, go to Manage and choose the suggestions dropdown option. There is no suggestions dropdown option. Only customization, payment options, design & scheduling. I've been through every one of these multiple times.
When it's happened before it usually resets either overnight or after multiple nights. I've cleared my cache/history/cookies, logged out and back, restarted my computer, watched the videos and have taken myself on a grand tour looking for anything that might help. PLEASE HELP!!!
I completely understand your frustration with the inconsistent behavior of the suggested transactions pop-up, @TM Donahue. The Suggestions Transactions option won't appear if the system is unable to detect suggested transactions for that specific customer in the invoice you created.
Since you have already ensured that the transactions is marked as Billable, I recommend contacting our Live Support team again for further assistance. Before reaching out, inform them of what steps you've already performed, trying to have the suggested option appear. Here's how to reach them:

This is not helpful in the least. I am AGAIN on the phone with the help desk. EVERY time I explain the entire issue and what has already been done. At least this individual is honest enough to say they are not actually trained on the product, have never entered a project or created an invoice. It's clear they have not even watched the online videos to understand what the Suggested Transaction pop up is, much less how to find it. They have been simply given a list of questions I am on hold as I have begged this person to escalate me to someone who has actually had some hands-on technical experience with your products. Why do you make changes to your product then not provide this information to the people your customers are forced to go through to get an answer. 5 hours of time on the phone with customer support and more searching for answers online, watching the QuickBooks provided videos, asking the community and trying to find the solution myself is ridiculous.
Hello there @TM Donahue, I appreciate you sharing your experience with us in the Community. It's clear that you've spent a lot of time trying to resolve the suggested transaction popup issue, and I want to help you get this sorted out quickly.
To give you some immediate insight into the feature: please know that if there isn't enough information to go on (like missing historical data for that specific customer or project), no suggestion will appear. This data requirement is often why the popup doesn't appear consistently across all invoices.
We take your feedback on your support experience very seriously. I've passed your entire issue, including your Community comments and your full support history, directly to our Next Level Help team. This specialized team will review everything you've shared to ensure we provide a follow up. You can expect an expert to reach out to you within 1 business day with the next steps to get this resolved.
Let us know if anything else comes up in the meantime. We're here to help you get back to business.
