Switch from Online Advanced back to Desktop

I used to use the Desktop version but switched to the Online Advanced version. I do not like it at all and I want to go back to the Desktop version. Has anyone does this? Was the migration process difficult? I tried to call Intuit but they said they do not offer tech support for this. I still have Deskop 2019 installed on my computer. Should I upgrade from there? I am currently still using the online version so the data in the desktop 2019 is not current. Any advice is appreciated!

Switch from Online Advanced back to Desktop

You will need to use a supported QB Desktop version (2021-2024) to convert data from QB Online. We prefer to use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021 than 2022 or 2023 to run the process. Contact me in private if you need the trial version.

Switch from Online Advanced back to Desktop

Welcome to our Community space, WP3! Thank you for getting in touch with us. We appreciate your choice of QuickBooks as your preferred tool for managing your business activities. Our team is delighted to assist you in migrating your data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

Migrating your data from the Online version back to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is a simple process. However, since you are using the 2019 version, which has been discontinued, we recommend upgrading to a supported QB Desktop version (2021-2024) before proceeding with the data migration.

Once you have upgraded, please follow these steps to move your data from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop:

Step 1: Open your QuickBooks Desktop.

Step 2: Sign in to QuickBooks Online and download the migration tool.

Step 3: Prepare the file for export and select the data you want to export from QuickBooks Online.

Step 4: Run the QuickBooks Desktop migration tool.

Step 5: Verify that your information has been exported correctly.

Step 6: If you no longer need QuickBooks Online, you can cancel your plan.

For detailed instructions on each step, please refer to this article: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
