What is Intuit QuickBooks Accountant Version Protection?

Please explain what Intuit QuickBooks Accountant Version Protection is.  It comes with the pro advisor bundle.  Does this have anything to do with having all years one one computer?  I need all years of QuickBooks as my clients come in with files from different years dating back to 2010 and I need to be able to work with and return a .QBB file to them in their own edition.  The accountant transfer protocol tool does not work for this.  In the past, the Pro Advisor Bundle included all the back years.  I don't see that anymore.  Thanks.

Hi there, LFT.

Intuit QuickBooks Version Protection is a free upgrade once a new version is available. It ensures that you always have the latest version available of the QuickBooks software. It also includes an Intuit Data Protect feature where you can automatically back up your QuickBooks company file.

To know more about Intuit Data Protect, see this article: Common questions about Intuit Data Protect.

@LFT

For older versions, you can still find and purchase a new one time license of QBD Accountant 2018 or 2020. You will need another approach to manage your clients using QBD 2016 or older version.

You can purchase a one time license for QBD 2022 Accountant edition to manage clients with QBD 2021 and 2022. Otherwise, you can choose to purchase the same QBD 2021 license.
