SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowI have recently setup autopay and all of my customers have scheduled their monthly payments. Problem is the invoices are due on the 1st of the month, but they are complaining because their payments are being deducted 2 days earlier than the due date. How can I change this?
I've tried changing the "create number of days in advance" from 2 to 0, but the system won't retain the edit... please tell me there is a workaround so I don't have to ask them all to re-sign up for autopay??

Your concerns about the timing of autopay deductions have been heard, LJFacctg. I'm committed to helping you understand how autopay deductions work in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll provide more details below.
The "Create Number of Days in Advance" setting in the recurring transactions template determines when QuickBooks will create and email invoices to your customers. It's not directly related to autopay deductions and can't be set to zero, as it is designed to generate transactions a specified number of days before the actual transaction date.
However, if you prefer to send invoices in real time and have more control over the process, consider creating them manually instead of recurring transactions. This will allow you to send invoices at the exact time you prefer.
Regarding autopay, when your customers set up autopay, you'll see an "Autopay Scheduled" status under the Invoice Activity section. Autopay deductions occur three days before the invoice due date to ensure timely processing. If the due date is less than three days away, the payment is deducted immediately.
