I run a construction company and I need to send out estimates on a regular basis.
My question is this. Is there a way when I send the customer a estimate that they can accept the estimate online? I previously used aynx for my estimates and invoicing. There was a button in the estimate that would allow them to accept my estimate. Just wondering if I could do something similar with quickbooks
Hello there, Bigc667.
For now, your customers are unable to accept the estimates online. You'll have to manually take note that it's already accepted by adding it as a memo. Here's how:
You can check my screenshot as your reference.
I know this makes a good feature. I will submit your concern to our management team so they pass this along to our software engineers. They will review this and might add it to our future updates.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have other concerns. Have a good one!
Hi Kristina,
In QB desktop, is there a way to see what estimates have been accepted by a customer when multiple estimates have been sent (other than having to open each one up individually and look in the memo line to see if it has been labeled "accepted"?
Hi there, @Tam22.
Currently, the only way to know if the estimate is accepted by your customer is to contact them. Once confirmed, you'll have to manually take note by adding it as a memo as my colleague stated above. You can refer to the screenshot provided by my colleague @Kristine Mae .
I understand this feature could play a big part in our customers business. I'll submit a feature request on your behalf to our product engineers so they'll consider adding it in the future.

Thank you, @JasroV . Is there a way to put a class code in or create a filter that we can mark with our own annotation so we know an estimate is accepted?
Thanks for the follow-up, @Tam22.
I'd like to help add some details about accepting estimates.
We can add a class code on the estimate's format, however, we're unable to provide a report that'll determine if the estimate is accepted or not. The only indicator QuickBooks can provide is by adding a note on the memo field, since this will show on the report as well.

You can always get back to me if you have other questions about your transactions and reports. I'll be around to help.
Any chance this feature of adding functionality within Quickbooks to have customers accept invoices will happen in 2019? Where is the best place to send product feature requests. It seems so outdated to have to ask your customer if they accept and then manually add it. If the system could capture their signature/acceptance that would be so beneficial to so many customers usning this feature.
Thanks
Hello, @Akh002.
We always appreciate customers who take the time to give us their feedback. I'll pass this helpful idea to our Product Developers. This way, they can consider this in future product updates.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting our blog to know more about our latest happenings. To check what's new and what's coming, you can check out this link: Product Updates.
Let me know if you have other questions about estimates or other transactions in QuickBooks. I'd love to help however I can.
I have a suggestion that I came up with. I go into customer list and add a column called "accepted" then if contract accepted then I add it to that field and I can see in my customer list. I know its probably lame (LOL) but it helps me a lot. Unfortunately it doesn't show on reports but i can make it work for viewing purposes.
I have an electrical company and I've been considering moving away to invoice ninja just because of this feature, I would also love to be able to have a button link embedded to the email (estimate) similar to the "Pay Invoice" button so our customers can accept the estimate online and not have to print, sign, scan and send back to us!
IN is not an accounting software like QBO. You may use and connect it to QBO with a connector.

Hi,
I would really like to know if this will ever be something that is implemented again? I would like my customers to be able to accept estimates online. I also used Aynax/Skynova and they had this ability and it was great. When I first started using QBO, it also had this feature, but for some reason a few weeks after that it was taken away. This made me really upset because crappy Aynax was more professional than QBO with this simple feature and it almost made me go back to Aynax. I can't believe QBO with all it's great features, the one you really actually need is not even there!? What is wrong with Quickbooks that you would take away the best part and most professional aspect??!! Please tell me if this will be brought back or not, so I know if I need to go back to Aynax??
Thanks,
Rachel
My goal is to address any worries or questions you have about estimates, Rachel.
We understand how important it is for you to provide a seamless experience for your customers when it comes to accepting estimates online.
With the functionality offered by QBO, your customers can review and approve your estimate online right from the email you send them. This happens if you are using the new experience. You'll also get alerts as soon as they respond. In the event that you're using the old layout, you'll need to update the status of your estimate manually.
If this feature suddenly disappears from your QBO account, we can send feedback to our software engineers. We're taking notes of your ideas and insights to help to implement future updates.
In order to check the status of all your estimates at a glance, you can proceed to the Invoices page. From there, you can respond to your customers, revise estimates, or convert them to invoices when approvals come in.
If you have any further questions or need assistance with any other aspect of QBO, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to help!
Hi, I meant estimates, not invoices.
You can use a signature app and a connector to integrate with QBO.
Hi there, Mandlseptic. I'll go over some details about the customer's ability to review and accept estimates sent via email in QuickBooks Online.
Yes, with the new estimate and invoice experience, your customers can review and approve your estimate online, right from the email you send them. You'll receive notifications once your customer has reviewed and approved the estimate, and the status of your estimate in QuickBooks will be updated automatically or choose to update it manually.
However, if you have the old estimate and invoice layout/experience, you'll need to manually update the status of your estimate once your customer has accepted it. Here's an article for more information: Create and send estimates in QuickBooks Online.
You can also check out this link to learn more about the newly added features for invoices and estimates: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

When and if will this new new estimate and invoice experience becoming to the UK quickbooks?
Hi CarpetMan, we began rolling out the new invoice and estimate experience to a small number of existing users on the 28/06/2023. We don't currently have a confirmed date for when this will be released to all, but all will be moved to the new layout eventually. Currently, those with multicurrency or payment methods such as PayPal or GoCardless enabled will be reverted to the old experience as these features are being built out.
I'm a client in AU now using 30 day trial for essentials. Why are the email previews for quotes (estimates) not coming with the Review and Approve button for clients to approve quotes from their end?
All i get in my preview window is how the quote would look as an attachment.
Welcome to the Community, @rs89.
I am here to give insights into why the quote you created can’t be approved on your client’s end using your QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QBO has been continuously improving and offering new features for your business transactions. One of the latest additions is the ability to have your clients approve the estimates you send. However, this feature is only available when using the new layout.
If you're currently using the old layout for your estimates, please know that the updates for the new layout experience will soon be applied to your account. Once this update is complete, the Review and Approve feature will be available for your customer.
You can read more information regarding the quotes and invoice updates in QBO through this article: See what’s new with quotes and invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, I am adding this article as your future reference if you want to personalize your QBO forms: Customize invoices, quotes, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Hello: when a customer accepts an estimate, the email alerting us goes to my Hotmail. Which is not connected to my company at all. Where can I edit that?
I can guide you through managing your email so you'll not receive an alert when the customer accepts the estimate in QuickBooks, @elischein28.
If the email is not registered on your QuickBooks, you shouldn't be receiving alerts. Since this isn't your case, let's go ahead and verify the registered Company email and the ones for sales forms in your Account and Settings.
To verify and edit the company email:
