Question

customer accepting estimates

I run a construction company and I need to send out estimates on a regular basis.

My question is this. Is there a way when I send the customer a estimate that they can accept the estimate online? I previously used aynx for my estimates and invoicing. There was a button in the estimate that would allow them to accept my estimate. Just wondering if I could do something similar with quickbooks

Hello there, Bigc667.

For now, your customers are unable to accept the estimates online. You'll have to manually take note that it's already accepted by adding it as a memo. Here's how:

  1. Open the estimate.
  2. Add notes in the MEMO field.
  3. Click Save & Close.

You can check my screenshot as your reference.

I know this makes a good feature. I will submit your concern to our management team so they pass this along to our software engineers. They will review this and might add it to our future updates.

Don't hesitate to let us know if you have other concerns. Have a good one!

Hi,

I would really like to know if this will ever be something that is implemented again? I would like my customers to be able to accept estimates online. I also used Aynax/Skynova and they had this ability and it was great. When I first started using QBO, it also had this feature, but for some reason a few weeks after that it was taken away. This made me really upset because crappy Aynax was more professional than QBO with this simple feature and it almost made me go back to Aynax. I can't believe QBO with all it's great features, the one you really actually need is not even there!? What is wrong with Quickbooks that you would take away the best part and most professional aspect??!! Please tell me if this will be brought back or not, so I know if I need to go back to Aynax??

Thanks,

Rachel

Hi CarpetMan, we began rolling out the new invoice and estimate experience to a small number of existing users on the 28/06/2023. We don't currently have a confirmed date for when this will be released to all, but all will be moved to the new layout eventually. Currently, those with multicurrency or payment methods such as PayPal or GoCardless enabled will be reverted to the old experience as these features are being built out.

I'm a client in AU now using 30 day trial for essentials. Why are the email previews for quotes (estimates) not coming with the Review and Approve button for clients to approve quotes from their end?

All i get in my preview window is how the quote would look as an attachment.

I have a suggestion that I came up with. I go into customer list and add a column called "accepted" then if contract accepted then I add it to that field and I can see in my customer list. I know its probably lame (LOL) but it helps me a lot. Unfortunately it doesn't show on reports but i can make it work for viewing purposes.

I have an electrical company and I've been considering moving away to invoice ninja just because of this feature, I would also love to be able to have a button link embedded to the email (estimate) similar to the "Pay Invoice" button so our customers can accept the estimate online and not have to print, sign, scan and send back to us!

@itznetworks

IN is not an accounting software like QBO. You may use and connect it to QBO with a connector.
