Is there a Payment Limit I can accept for ACH Bank Transfers and Credit Cards?

Is there limit to how much I can accept in QuickBooks Payments (Merchant Services) from my customer when they pay by ACH Bank Transfer or Credit Card through QuickBooks Payments online? I send out my invoices from QuickBooks Pro Desktop if that matters.

Is there a limit per transaction, per day, or per month?

How do I find out what are the limits and how can I get them increased?

Thanks,

Scott

Let me share some information about the Payment limit and route you to the right support, scottkeen.

Some QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payments users have a limit of how much they can get paid online for both ACH Bank Transfer or Credit Card in a 30-day rolling period. When you reach the processing limit, customers won't be able to pay online until your limit opens up again as time goes by. However, you can still get paid with cash or checks.

You can contact our QuickBooks Payments Team to check on how much the limit you have to get paid online. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and provide you details about this one.

Here's how:

  1. Visit: https://community.intuit.com/browse/payments-contact-us.
  2. Choose the specific Merchants Service product you're using.

To learn more about the payments limit, check out this article: Online payments and processing limits. If you need to increase your limit, just go to Request a direct deposit limit increase section to process your request.

I've got a link here that provided you with articles about managing QuickBooks Payments: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/merchant-services/07?product=QuickBooks%20Payments.

Feel free to reply to this post if you need a hand with receiving payments via QuickBooks or any QuickBooks Online related. I'll be here to help. Keep safe and healthy.

How do I go about finding my individual transaction limit?  Neither Support Chat nor Support Phone could help me with that.

Hi there, SRCustom.

I can provide information about the limit of how much your customers could pay you using QuickBooks Online Payments.

The number of online payments you've taken in the past 30 days depends on the processing volume of your customers. While the Community space is unable to look into your account, you can reach out to QuickBooks Payments Support Team to know more information about processing limits. They can also review if you've reached your limit.

Yeah...  that was the same chat link I went to to begin with.  "Anthony" was able to tell me my monthly limit ($10K), but was clueless as to what my single,  individual transaction limit was.  When he couldn't find it, he just bailed the chat.

I then went to phone support.  And "Tina", while polite and willing to help, could only help me with the monthly figure.  (Again, $10K).  But like "Anthony" on chat, she had no idea how to find the individual transaction limit.

Is there a support line link or phone number of a supervisor I could call who would know how to find this out?

Is there a "No Limit" per amount of ACH transactions/ACH payments?

Hi there, emericaskate0707.

As mentioned by my colleague above, some QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payments users have a limit of how much they can get paid online within a 30-day rolling period.

Once you reach the processing limit, your customers won't be able to pay online until your limit opens up again. Although, they can still be able to pay through cash or checks.

You can contact our QuickBooks Payments Support Team so they can check your account securely and provide more details about your processing limit. Before doing so, please review our support hours guide to ensure your concern gets addressed right away.
