The template used when emailing invoices may have changed in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @ErinIWW. Let's go to the Preferences window to correct this. I'm here to guide you how.
You may have updated your company's send form preferences to use the plain text format that's why the color design is changed. To change it back, here's how:
- Go to the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Choose the Send Forms option.
- Go to the My Preferences tab, then make sure to select the Auto-check the "Email Later" checkbox is customer's Preferred Delivery Method is e-mail option.
- Click OK.

Also, you're able to create custom templates for forms like invoices, sales receipts, estimates, statements, and purchase orders in QBDT.
