Partial receipt of items in QBE Desktop Version 24

Hi all. We are having problems to do  partial receipt of items on the Purchase Order in  QBE Desktop version 24. May someone guide me how this can do this can be done.

Partial receipt of items in QBE Desktop Version 24

I got you, Towie. Let's figure out what's happening and find a resolution in receiving your remaining items in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

You can run the Verify/Rebuild toolVerify will catch any damaged data. Rebuild will attempt to fix the damaged data detected. It also permits your QuickBooks software to restore the data inside the company file. 

 

Let's ensure you create a backup copy of your company file before doing the Verify and Rebuild process. If changes occur, having a backup copy allows you to restore it to undo the changes.

 

Follow the steps below on how to verify data:

 

  1. On the top menu, click File.
  2. Choose Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data.
  4. Click OK when you see the message.
  5. If Verify finds an issue with your data, press the Rebuild Now or View Errors.
  6. Click Close or View Errors and take note of the specific error message.

 

Next, here's how to rebuild data:

 

  1. On the top menu, click File.
  2. Choose Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Click OK if you receive a prompt to back up your company file.
  5. Press OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed and proceed to the next step.
  6. Then, run Verify Data to make sure there's no error.

 

 

Then, update your QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. Follow these instructions:

 

  1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page.
  2. Click the standard setup link.
  3. Select the country, product, & version and click the Search button.
  4. Click the Get the latest updates link.
  5. After downloading the updates, navigate to the Downloads folder of your computer. Double-click the update file to initiate the installation process.
  6. Follow the prompts on the screen to install the updates.
  7. Restart your computer after the update is installed successfully.

 

If the error continues to show, I recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. An agent can take a closer look at it and escalate this issue to a higher tier for further investigation if needed.

For me to assist you appropriately, may I know what specific issue you've encountered while trying to do partial receipt of PO items? Any additional information will be much appreciated.

 

In the meantime, here's how to record the items on your PO as partially received in QuickBooks:

 

  1. In the purchase order window, select the Create Item Receipts icon.
  2. Click the Select PO icon and choose the purchase order.
  3. Hit OK.
  4. Manually remove the items you don't want to receive in full.
  5. Click Save & Close. When you open the purchase order, the status will display as Received Partially, and the items you removed are still open.

Dear Ivan,

Thank you for your reply. I have been trying to explain with the help of screenshot but the post button gets greyed out when I load images. I have attached the file with screenshots and some explanations on what is happening when we have received some the items partially and then want to receive the remaining items .

Dear 4Gal,

 

I copied the company file to my laptop and did the verify/rebuild exercise and then tried to do partial receipt.

It worked without issues. I will replicate the same on the company file on the server and then test again with a new P.O. If I will encounter new issues, i will post again. Thank you all.
