I would like to join the lawsuit. They denied my transactions initially for no reason and I had to run a clients card multiple times to where now they are disputing it. I also had over 5 k that has gone through and cleared and even through closing my account. They still hold my money. I'm about to lose my business cause I can't buy materials.
Yes we are experiencing similar issues and are beginning a class action lawsuit as well
We have had over $36K on hold ion our account - the account was closed once by mistake (admitted by quickbooks) - we were able to reopen it - but funds were being held even if we have provided all the information they requested - when we called for the 10th time to ask to release the funds - they closed the account again!!
We are a small not for profit which relies on cash flow to survive and we are considering filing a lawsuit against the company
Quickbooks close our account by mistake - which they admitted - and kept the funds on hold. Then they reopened our account and we were able to use it but fund were still being held. After a month of excruciating back and forth (where they asked for numerous documentation which we provided) - they closed the account again. This time they have over $36K of our funds on hold. We are interested in filling a law suit again the company for appropriating our funds with no reason. We are a small not for profit and we need prompt cashflow to survive... how can they be legally allowed to out a company out of business for no reason? And we have a premium account... This is insane!
Hello!
The same this has happened to 2 of my accounts with over 850k of my money along with customers deposits. They have had it held since 8-20-22. Had anyone got anywhere with it?
That's a tough spot, BWK Industries.
I understand the difficulty of having funds on hold for a long time. It includes the effort and time devoted while waiting. I'm here to turn around the table so you can start processing payments in no time.
Please know that we withheld deposits for various reasons. We're doing this to protect you and the payee. Here are two primary causes:
With this, I'd like to know if you received an email back then. It contains specific instructions on how to resolve the issue. You can check out this guide for more details: Why Are My Funds On Hold?

I am in the same position. I am furious that they dare to use the words "business decision" to hold my funds indefinitely. I am considering a law suit. What a horrible company. I just need my earned money for my small business deposited to me and I will leave and never work with QB again. I should have listened to these posts and never opened a merchant account with them.
I am in the same position. They are "holding" funds from a large client of mine becuase it was a "business decision" to close my merchant account. No emails, no information, nothing. They just decide when they want to hold your money. What a horrible company. I am filing a law suit against them. I wish I had read this thread before opening an account and accepting a payment through them. Worst company I've ever worked with, do not ever join.
Hi, what's the status on this lawsuit?
My partner had thousands of dollars of theirs stolen by Intuit Quickbooks in the exact same manner. It is beyond ridiculous and it's theft and it's unacceptable.
Would love to hear more about your journey thus far.
I can't say emphatically enough that I will never use another Inuit service again and have been advising every person I know working in freelance the same.
hahaha yeah right.
This company's reputation is going downhill faster than Comcast's is... Didn't even know that was possible.
haha liar
Does the "Risk Management Team" involve a monkey in a room with a party hat?

well i can guarantee my loyalties to quick books is gone. i have instructed my CPA that we are canceling any business with intuit and have reached out for their legal side of the business.
My funds are on hold. quick books said " we have a hold on you funds because we need to evaluate my business". they want information on my customers. quick books seem more like a governmental regulator than a accounting program. i want to join any lawsuit against Quick books. 5612393100please feel free to reach out to me. thanks and good luck to the working people
Hey what is the update?
Quick book took 6.700.00 any one else filing a law suit??? If so who the lawyer
I never received my money it’s been months they have 30k of mine.
Don’t use QuickBooks they give you the run around and you have to explain yourself each time your call and tell them what’s going on.
They just push it to the next person and never get it solved.
I like to join the law suit
I am a small business owner, and I just recently opened a checking account with quickbooks. 4 days ago I was on a business trip when my debit card started declining. I contacted the number on the back of the card and that is when I found out that they bank with green dot. So they transferred me over to green dot. Green Dot told me that they would get this issue resolved as quick as possible. The issue is still not resolved and I cannot even take my money out at the ATM. When I check my account none of my deposits are showing up and there is over 2000 dollars missing from my account. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. So as of now I am considering my as money stolen. I have made a police report, and will be reaching out to an attorney.
I am having the same issue. 5 different case numbers. They are holding thousands of our customers dollars. We will participate in a class action suit.
Adrian,
I have multiple case numbers from a similar event. Quickbooks Payments opened a merchant services account for us, took an ACH payment from our customer, then place those funds on hold. Then the closed our account for "business reasons" with no other explanation and refuse to send us the money or refund it back to the original customer.
I have been told for 2 months that this case has been escalated and that the team will process the repayment. I have also been told that I will be sent a check. Neither has happened, and each time I call, I am told that it will be processed in 24-48 hours.
At this point, this would appear to be banking fraud. How do we resolve this issue? Calling to the help line does not help.
