Hi there, @eolmeda-tristate!
Before we can accomplish your goal for today, may I ask for a few clarifications first? Saying you wanted to access your account with a green dot, are you trying to access your bank account connected to online banking in QuickBooks?
Keep me updated in the comments below. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care always!
I mean the QuickBooks checking account. It's actually green dot bank. Is there a way to access that via their website or does it have to go through QuickBooks?
I mean the QuickBooks checking account. It's a green dot account. Is there a way to access it via their website or only through QuickBooks?
I've researched and found out that Greed Dot cards are prepaid debit cards, eolmeda-tristate.
If you haven't activated your account, you can search for its web address using your browser. Just type greendot.com to open its link and register your account.
Once you connect your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks, the program will automatically download the latest transactions for you. All you have to do is approve the match or newly created transaction.
Keep me posted if you need some help with working in QBO. I'd be glad to lend a helping hand. Wishing you the best.
Where can I get the bank statement because QBO feature to download the bank statement isn’t working.
Hello there, @Jtj1.First off, I appreciate you for reaching out here in the Community and letting us know about this. I'd like to help you get this sorted out so you can proceed to download your bank statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Before we proceed, may I ask if you received an error when you tried to download your transactions in QBO? Any additional details would be greatly help me provide a suitable solution to get through this.
To begin, I recommend updating your bank manually in the system to refresh its connection. Here's how:
Feel free to refer on the screenshot that I've attached.
You can also refer to this article for further guidance: Bank errors and missing transactions in QuickBooks Online.
If the issue persists, we can consider performing some basic troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. To begin, you'll need to access your account in an incognito browser. Doing this allows the program to run without storing cache or cookies that might cause problems when running intuit sites.
You can use these shortcut keys to open an incognito window:
Once done, go back to your account and click the Update button. If this works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache to refresh the background process of your browser settings: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.
If the same thing happens, consider using other supported browsers. Feel free to refer to this article to see the list of browsers that you can use: Supported Browsers.
Additionally, I've got you these handy articles in case you'd like to manually upload transactions into your QBO account:

Has anyone figured out how to do this? The account often shows bad information in Quickbooks and transfer options are limited.
Hi there, @LousteauPLLC.
Thanks for taking the time to follow the thread and sharing your concerns.

If so, and you're still having issues with the account, I recommend contacting our Technical Support Team for further investigation. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Take care!
I'm surprised that no one actually answered this question.
What you are looking for is in the Cash Flow menu.
This is NOT the answer. Trying to figure out how to access statements and transactions OUTSIDE of Quickbooks. So far my experience is the integration of the Green Dot account within Quickbooks is terrible. They have extremely hold periods for transfers that make managing cash flow nearly impossible. I was hoping this would be a great addition but so far it is terrible.
I am searching for the answer to this as well.
I think the answer is to just go back to a "normal" bank. They made an effort to integrate banking but from my point of view they have failed miserably. The only good part is getting some interest on savings.
I've been trying to transfer the balance of the QB Bank to another bank with QB and am getting the run around. I created a transfer, but nothing is happening. It's been almost 2 months. QB Support doesnt seem to have an answer either.
Hi Ashley,
We want to help you with your questions about the bank balance. However, we need more information to provide the correct resolution and sort this out promptly.
Are you trying to enter a bank transfer? Are both accounts showing in the chart of accounts? If you could provide some screenshots and clarifications, it would greatly help.
In the meantime, you can check this article for additional guidance on moving money from one account to another to correct the balance in QuickBooks: Transfer funds between accounts.
Please know that you're always welcome to post questions in this space. Have a great day ahead.
Thanks for your reply.
I have created a transfer (which is showing in the register -- I did this almost 2 months ago) going out of the QB Bank to another Bank Acct in QB that we use.
The Balances for the QB Banking are:
$455 QB Bank Balance
$0 QB Balance
Both Banks are in the Chart of Accounts.
I have tried creating a transfer from a different browser also, but that didn't help.
I called support & they walked me through the on screen help but they seem to not have answers.
They said to try to contact the number on the back of the QB Bank card -- but we do not have a card.
Thank you!
Thanks for updating us, @Ashhhhh. Let me chime in and share information to ensure you’re able to transfer the balance successfully.
You mentioned you've created a transfer, and both banks are in the Chart of accounts. In this case, the reference provided by my peer AlcaeusF should work.
On the other hand, if you’re trying to transfer funds in or out of your QuickBooks Checking account, you’ll need to connect an external bank account to succeed. Once linked, you can refer to the steps below to transfer the amount.
To put money into your QuickBooks Checking account:
To move the money out of the QuickBooks Checking account:
Please know that after you get approved for signing QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Checking, you'll get your QuickBooks Debit Card within 7 - 10 business days. Check out this guide to learn more: Use your QuickBooks Checking account.
Never hesitate to get back on this thread or add a comment if you mean something else. I’m ready to explore and do my best to get you covered accordingly. Take care always!
The answer to your question is within quickbooks online click on Banking Services, Quickbooks Checking. Then click Manage to the right side. Another box will appear then click the drop down arrow on monthly statements. You will be able to download monthly statements for your quickbooks checking account (greendot account) from there.
This was the right answer.
I just read through the entire convo chain and never saw the answer to the question.
I have QuickBooks checking, which is through Green Dot Bank. The only reason why I know this is because I've added my QB Checking account in my PayPal, which says "GREEN DOT BANK" instead of QuickBooks Checking.
I believe the question, which has been asked, is how do we specifically access our QuickBooks Checking (Green Dot Bank) account outside of QuickBooks. Is there a website we can access outside of QuickBooks to access our QuickBooks business checking accounts?
Thanks for chiming in, Kristena.
I'm here to share more information about accessing your Greendot account.
As of now, the option to do so outside QuickBooks is unavailable. However, you can access the said account through QuickBooks. From the Banking Services, select QuickBooks Checking. Then, click Manage. On the pop-up page, click the drop-down arrow on monthly statements. From there, you can download your statements.
I also got you this article on how to manage your QuickBooks Checking account: Learn more about QuickBooks Checking
Keep me in the loop if there's anything I can assist you with.
So in other words, pass the buck and don't answer.
I can't talk to anyone at Green Dot because they do not recognize the QB Checking card numbers. Cannot register. Cannot chat. Cannot Call. In other words, so sad and too bad.
And get this, go ahead and try to deposit a check. Guess what? No can do because you won't be eligible.
I am beginning to think that Green Dot and QB Checking is little more than a scam. QB always says to call Green Dot and/or gives you their url. However, it is simply a dead end. At this point, I am thinking of going to the banking commission and filing a complaint. This is nonsense.
We want you to know that this is not the service we expect you to receive, @KD Tunstall. We understand the frustration of not having this process as anticipated and the significance of getting this fixed as quickly as possible. We will do our best to resolve the issue you encountered. I'll provide the steps for contacting our support team in QuickBooks Online.
I encourage you to call our QuickBooks Online support team to assist you further and be able to get ideas on how to connect with Green Dot. Know that they have other tools to utilize and perform this job.

I have already spent....literally hours on both chat and on the phone with support over issues and the canned response eventually leads to a directive to call green dot or contact them through their web page.
As has been described on numerous occasions, you cannot talk to, chat or email anyone. So essentially your support sends us all to a dead end. I find this unacceptable and am seeking a new merchant services provider as a result. I will not do business with a company that cannot provide me with assistance regarding MY money in MY own account. This reeks of collusion.
I'm in the same boat. I cannot seem to find someone who will own it. I have spent hours trying to get my money out.
