Hello,
We had QBO Plus and recently upgraded to QBO Advanced for its Estimate vs Actual reporting. However, in the process, we seemed to have lost the Payment Link function. I have called into Intuit Support, but I like to see what everyone's experience is regarding Payment Link. For those that have QBO Advanced, do you have the Payment Link function?
Thank you.
Michelle
I'll share some information that could help with your payment link in QuickBooks Online Advanced.
If you upgraded from QuickBooks Online Plus to QuickBooks Online Advanced, you must relink your payments account before you can take and process payments in QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Payments.
You'll want to double-check and ensure your connection. If you already have a QuickBooks Payments account, follow these steps to connect your existing account to QuickBooks Online. Otherwise, if you haven't already, sign up for QuickBooks Payments.
For more details, please refer to this article: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks Payments.
However, if you set up your account already and still don't have the link, you can perform basic troubleshooting steps to see if it is a browser issue. Sometimes, your search engine's cache and cookies become corrupted, causing problems when accessing websites or opening files. To begin, open your QBO account in an incognito window. It will prevent the browser history from being saved. Please refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:
If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with clearing the cache. It will also help you get rid of any junk files that might be slowing down your work.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments Support Team. It allows them to look into your account and confirm the problem.

Hi JamesAndrewM,
Thanks so much for your response and for taking the time to detail out possible solutions! We did upgrade from Plus to Advanced from the Billing & Subscription section under Settings. I also took the time to review your suggestions:
We have a QuickBooks Merchant Account. This is an existing account that we were already using with QB Plus, and the link still seems viable because we can still send invoices for payments, and we can still run online bill pay.
I had previously called into QBO Support, and they had troubleshoot this issue with me using Incognito. I have also tried downloading/installing Firefox so there isn't any Cache or HIstory. The issue persists - we still don't have Payment Link.
In Advanced, we now have the option to "Take Payment" if the clients provide their credit card or ACH information. "Take Payment" requires us to document the sale with service codes since the "One Time Sale" option does not work (When I press "Add" an one-time payment, QBO does not register the "Add."). "Take Payment" is an option that we did not have in Plus. However, we prefer the Payment Link option.
I will reach out to QBO Payment, since none of the above worked or brought back Payment LInk. I was told earlier today by one QBO Support that Payment LInk, although available in Plus, has been removed in Advanced, and that if we want Payment Link, we can downgrade. If this were true, I am very much disheartened that functionalities were removed in an upgrade. I will confirm with QBO Payment. Hopefully, someone on the Development Team or Escalation Support can offer a satisfying resolution.
Thanks so much in the mean time to writing out all options and suggestions!
