I used QBO Bill Pay to pay two invoices for a supplier. Melio mailed two checks -- one in June and the second in August. The supplier did not receive the checks. The funds were debited from our bank account. What is the process to investigate these two Melio checks?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello there, @JMM2021.
The best way to investigate the two checks that your supplier didn't receive is by contacting the Melio Customer Support Team. One of their representatives will guide you in tracking the payment and do a further investigation with the two Melio checks.
You can go to this link and go to the Contact page below App information to get their phone number.
You can also run the Bills and Applied Payments report to review the payments you’ve made (via Melio) and the bills that go with them. Then, you can customize it to show the tracking numbers and other details.

I know that you’ve already reached out to Melio’s customer service about your concern. I still recommend contacting them again for further assistance. They’ll be able to trace the status of the payments and assist in resolving the issue. You can use the Start a chat option for real-time assistance.

the Qbo/Melio support was very responsive and sorted out the question right away.
I have done that and they told me I need to contact Melio which I have twice now with the last attempt being yesterday. Please help.
Can you share what happened when you contacted Melio, zmann17?
You'll need to reach out to them again. They will be able to trace the status of the payments and help you further.
Additionally, I've included an article about payment schedules in Online Bill Pay in QuickBooks Online. This will guide you with the correct timing in paying your bills: Schedule Payments in Online Bill Pay.
I'll be here if you have other questions.
I have had the same expereince with two payments not being received. But I have contacted the Melio support tem twice now and have not heard a response. Both times I have had to leave a number on a voicemail for call back and I have yet to receive a call from anyone. Is there a more direct way to contact someone for help?
Will

I am having serious issues with Melio not responding and Bill Pay Support in QB Desktop just sitting there for hours. I have exhausted calling into QB help desk as they have not further information then what I have. I need Quickbooks to find out how we can get information regarding payments deducted from our bank account but vendors not receiving the payment. My thought is Quickbooks set this up, we didn't. Just so everyone knows, the [removed] # is just a recording that says send an email or log into Melio account. Can't log into Melio account get no reset password emails, recording doesn't help much. The other # that QB had was [removed] has been disconnected. If anyone here has a contact # to Melio where you actually get to speak to a live person please share.
We'd really want to make sure that payments are sorted out and get the vendors paid, watch516.
Please note that it will take at least 3 business days for the vendor to receive the payment on their account. Also, bank accounts for online bill payments are either manually entered into the system or by the vendors themselves and not by QuickBooks.
Can you tell us when the payments were sent? Depending on the method used, please see the standard processing times per payment:
I also found out that Melio's customer support is only available via live chat or email. Please go to this article and click the If you still have questions or need help section to get their contact details: Pay Bills Online from QuickBooks Desktop.

Well the original payment was sent in April, so I think the time limit has been met.
I did finally receive an email from Melio and they show that they mailed the check but that it has never been cashed. I am getting them to void this transaction and I will personally process it. I am also waiting to here back from Melio as to why I can't log into the account.
But FYI, they need a phone number where you can actually speak to a person. At this point I am not sure we will continue to use this service as during all of this and me investigating to try and find out how to contact them I see that this has been a recurring issue for several years.
Is using Melio the only way to pay bills online with QB Desktop 2022? I bank with KeyBank, which had a built-in syncing function that worked very well with updating my checking account using the earlier versions of QB.
I have two vendors that have not received payments from Melio. In my checking account register they show as cleared (the lightning bolt), but they have not actually cleared my bank.
First I tried calling the number I found from QB Support but the recording told me Melio does not answer phone calls. (July 2022)
Next I tried to create a user account with Melio, but it appears my email was imported when bill pay was initiated, so an account already exists. I have no idea what the password is. (It's NOT the same as my QB login, nor any other likely suspects.) I tried logging in using both Intuit and Google (options Melio provides), but nothing worked. I then chose Forget Password and requested a link to reset this TO THE EMAIL the account is associated with (I checked the spelling). Nothing came to the inbox, the spam folder, the social or promotion folders, etc. I repeated this request at least four times and never got the link.
I sent emails to both [email address removed] and [email address removed] explaining my difficulties but have not received an answer yet.
Your choice of Melio as a TPA seems to me questionable at best. They "float" the interest for what appears to be at least a week after immediately debiting the customer's bank account; so "Free" is a little misleading. In less than two months I have had a handful of occasions where vendors have not received their payments. And the company has built a very impenetrable electronic fortress that makes getting in touch with them nearly impossible.
Can you at least help me access both support and my account at Melio? Better yet, if it's in any way an option, guide me back to the other, older Online Bill Pay that had occasional hiccups but basically worked seamlessly for the last two decades or so.
Thanks.
Thanks for joining this forum, @ts from pdx. I understand the need to have your vendors get paid on time.
At this point, I'd recommend contacting Melio Customer Support to help you check the transactions. They can trace the status of the payments and assist in resolving the issue. You can use the Start a chat option for real-time assistance.
Here's how:
Since the old Bill pay is unavailable in QuickBooks, you'll want to consider looking for another third-party app that works best for you and your business. Visit the QuickBooks Apps for more information.

Send me a private message and I can help to forward your concerns to them and get more attention to respond.
You recommended I Chat with Melio. Well, you need to login to Chat. As you can see from my previous message I can't login because my email has been used to create an account for which I don't know the password, they say they have sent a password reset link at least four times but it never arrives in ANY folder including Spam, they haven't responded to my emails after four days. Their phone number says nope, we don't answer phone calls.
I understand all of you support folks are trying to use whatever you have available (mainly recycled boilerplate responses that show up over and over again) to respond to many of us who are having a difficult time with Melio. Given that your employer had gross revenues of $9.6 B and income in excess of $2.5 B you'd think they could do MUCH better than this. Wait: Investors > Customers.
I know it's not your personal "fault," but I really don't know WTH to do here.
I understand what you've been through regarding the experience you encounter when paying your vendors, @ts from pdx. And we want to get this resolved.
We've looked into this matter and can see that someone from our team is taking care of this issue. We recommend checking your email or your Community profile from time to time as they will reach out to you for further assistance.
I appreciate your patience as we work through this. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to drop a comment below. Take care and have a great day, @ts from pdx.
Melio is holding a $60,000 payment that was debited from my account on July 18th 2022 via QB online bill pay. The first ACH failed, and vendor is requesting paper check now.
I have tried calling, and e-mailed multiple times. My vendor has been patiently waiting, I need someone to respond back to me IMMEDIATELY.
I understand the urgency of having us check the bill payment you've made through Melio, SHWICK.
Here in the Community forum, we're unable to pull up any account. Since you've called and sent emails to Melio, you can wait for their response.
You can also contact our QuickBooks Online Live Team so they can check this for you. They may provide additional instructions to get this done.

As I am now waiting in the Melio Chat queue #10 in line - super!) to find out what happened to two checks that have not been received by a vendor, this is what I have learned about Online Bill Pay using Melio on QB Desktop 2022:
I am having a similar issue with a payment.
It was sent in July, and as of September 15th the vendor still has not received it.
I have contacted Melio MULTIPLE times over the last 3 weeks via their chat AND email and have not gotten any response.
Their phone number does not go to a person, only a message saying to email them.
This is unacceptable customer service.
Who do I contact if Melio will not respond to any correspondence and they have deduced over $2,000 from our business account??
I can see the urgency of knowing where is the Melio payment you sent to your vendor, @ecoincmo.
Since there was no response from Melio support, I recommend directly reaching out to our QuickBooks Online customer care. They have the necessary tools to verify your account in a safe environment. This way, they can check what's causing the delay in the payment and find a fix.
To reach them, here's how:

Same here. I started using the service a couple of months ago. EFT transactions are going through OK but anyone issued checks are not receiving them. Melio is not responding timely to email to [email address removed]. I'm trying to use the chat option now but I'm 20th in line so this is pretty ridulous. You really need to get Direct Connect directly with banks set up like in Quicken and get rid of Melio.
