I am using QB 2022 Pro desktop
I process charge cards through Intuit in the Sales receipt screen
I always print the sales receipt on the back of the shopping cart page
This lets me use one page of paper that goes into the customers package
On 10/03/2022 the sales receipt started printing a second page that only has the credit card transaction info
I do not need to print that info because it is included on my sales receipt template
This has never done this in the many years of me processing credit card in QB desktop
I cannot find a way to turn this off in QuickBooks
Does anyone know how to stop the Sales receipt print from printing a second page with the credit card transaction info?
Hi there, @EL34. I've got your back, and I'll ensure you can get through this so you can print a specific page in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company.
You can perform the Verify and Rebuild data feature to ensure that your company file doesn't have data issues. The Verify feature self-identifies most of the commonly known data issues within your company file. While the Rebuild Data helps resolves most of the data integrity issues that the Verify Data finds. I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
See this article for more information: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.
If the issue persists, you can also consider downloading the sales receipt as a PDF file and then print it from the PDF application, so you can select a specific page to print.
Additionally, I've got you this article to help you resolve printing-related issues in QBDT: Resolve printing issues.
You can also check this page to learn more about the transaction workflows in QBDT: Get started with customer transaction workflows in QuickBooks Desktop.
@EL34, if you need further assistance printing transactions in QuickBooks. Know that you can always get back to me anytime. I'll be more than happy to help you out again. Take care, and have a good one.
Is this some sort of robot reply?
I don't have any problems with my printer and the company file is fine
Did the robot read my issue?
The support that provided the solution is a human, EL34.
I'd recommend sharing a screenshot to help us determine the main cause why QuickBooks printed a second page with the credit card transaction info. This is also helpful in providing additional steps to resolve this.
I hope you can respond to me on this thread so we can work on your concern together. Please know I'm ready to assist further. Have a good one.
Thanks
I attached two images - See the nest post also
Note that I removed all customer info from the images
SalesReceipt1.png is the only page that has ever printed for 20 years of me using QB desktop
I will have to attach page two in a reply after this because I cannot attached to images in one post
As of a couple days ago, this second page started to print
It is the Credit card transaction info
Note that I already have all that info on my Sales receipt Template
I do not want to print this second page
This is what the second page looks like

Thank you for coming back and providing a screenshot about your concern when printing the sales receipt, @EL34. I'll share other troubleshooting steps to help fix your printing problem.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), we have the QuickBooks Tool Hub that we can use to repair the desktop program.
To get started, download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Let me show you how:
If the issue persists, you can check out this article for more troubleshooting steps: Fix company files and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.
However, if you continue printing the second page, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct screen-sharing sessions to see what you're seeing, and more.
To reach them, here's how:
You can also check out this link for more information: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support. Ensure to review their support hours, so you'll know when agents are available.
Reach out to me again if you have follow-up questions or concerns about the process when using the tool hub. I'll be around for you. Have a great day ahead.
I already did the tool repairs yesterday
So you have no idea why this started all of a sudden
Is that correct?
My experience here has been that no one from Intuit is here. I have had several issues in the past and I get the same robot responses as I received above.
The only real help I have gotten here was from actual users, not Intuit.
Pretty sad that Intuit customer support is so bad.
Most companies have a forum where they can get help from the company involved.
I'm having the exact same issue and it's not a feature that I'm happy about!
Only Sales Receipt that has been associated to a Merchant Payments are getting the second page. If you change the payment method to cash the 2nd page will not show up.

I process credit cards through Intuit on the sales receipt screen which is a cash sale
I am not sure I understand what you are saying?
Associated to a merchants payments?
Nothing in my Quickbooks setups has changed in 20 years of processing credit cards with Intuit on the sales receipt screen, so how is this happening all of a sudden?
This must have started through an update or something. I've never had this happen before where the credit card info is printing on a 2nd page. This is unacceptable! QB you need to fix this!

I agree, but based on how horrible Intuit customer support is, I doubt it will get fixed.
I am sending in a bug reports in the help menu about that, but I never get a reply. I still report it every few days.
I have sent bug reports about the credit memo not pulling in the customers data for two years and that is still not fixed.
Maybe if you report the 2nd page printing also, they will take notice.
Go to help menu-Send feedback online-Bug report
All we ever get here is a robotic form reply when posting issues.
I reported it. The only way I can get it to print on one page was to go into my printer settings under 'file' and change the properties. I have it printing multi-sided for Sales Receipts. Honestly, this is ridiculous.
I have to put a previously used piece of paper behind the sales receipt paper so it does not waste a new sheet of paper.
On one side of the paper is the shopping cart order from my web site
I print the sales receipt on the other side.
So both sides of the paper get used for the customers order.
So sad that Intuit is so lame.
if there was another option besides Quickbooks, I would be saying bye bye
The problem is that my whole system is integrated into quickbooks using QBXML
I import and export stuff using QBXML
Same here QB is too big for their britches!
I have sent bug reports on this issue and others every few days.
Nothing ever gets fixed.
So sad that this is how Intuits treats it's customers.
If they would just add or change something and give us the ability to turn them on or off in the preferences, that would solve everything.
We also have the same issue, and I am sure its a new "feature" that some moron decided would be great and its yet another reason why we are migrating to a new platform.
So on this major design flaw I have found that you can set the printer to print both sides...if your printer has that capability. So at least your only using 1 sheet of paper. If you go to "Printer Settings" in QB and find the "Credit Card Receipt" do NOT make the mistake I did of unchecking both CUSTOMER and VENDOR options it will create an error message loop and you will need to use task manager to kill QB.
However well intended this feature is, it is actually a nightmare if you do not have a printer capable of double sided printing and what makes it worse is that if you unclick CC receipt printing you effectively crash QB. Intuit is a billion dollar venture...we all expect better.
Hi Synergy88,
I understand how it feels when a feature isn't working as intended.
Since you still encounter the same issue, I'd suggest reaching out to our Technical team. One of our agents has the tools that can investigate this further.
Here's how:
I've additionally included a detailed resource about working with user roles that may come in handy moving forward: Create & manage roles.
I'm just around when things arise with your file.
The problem is that this so called "feature" is actually working as intended. The folks at QB decided that when I print my sales receipt that it should also print the credit card receipt at the same time. This matter came after an update so its obvious that its a new feature.
This thread was started 2 months ago, a solution has not been given and apparently moderators here consider it to be something broken. I completely reformatted a computer this morning and downloaded the latest version of QB Enterprise 22 v6 and it does the same thing....its not broken, its a design flaw/feature. The problem is that we cannot turn it off and customer support is for lack of a better word, useless to fix it.
I made that mistake. Stuck in the endless loop. How did you fix it?
I'm stuck in that loop. How did you fix it?
Hello @StAngelo,
Before we can accomplish your goal for today, may I ask you a few questions about your sales receipt? Saying you made a mistake and want to find a fix, how exactly are you stuck in a loop?
A screenshot of your view will be very much appreciated. Keep me updated in the comments below. Hope o hear from you as soon as possible. Take care always!
