Suddenly Closed Account…

Receiving payment on time is essential for every business entity, Footprint. Let me direct you to our phone representative regarding this your QuickBooks Merchant account.

 

Since the Community is a public forum, we recommend calling our QuickBooks Merchant support team for additional assistance in reviewing your account thoroughly. Verifying your account status will help provide sufficient reasons for the closed account without your consent.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in Talk to a human, then press Enter.
  3. Select Contact Support Team.
  4. Type again Talk to a human and click Contact Support Team.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us.

 

Once everything is fine, you can have this article to see the complete instructions to process a charge card: Process payments in the Merchant Service Center. Following these steps, you can add the Charge a Card feature to the processing tools.

So sorry this happened to you. They have recently closed my account as well stating it no longer met requirements and have placed my funds on hold. They need to give me the remaining funds in my account so that I can be done with this company for good! I do not recommend that anyone ever trust this company with their money. This is criminal!

It’s funny you say that it can only be closed if the merchant makes the decision to close the account but yet our business account was just closed abruptly for no reason. When we called QuickBooks, we were told the company made “a business decision” to close our account and the money that was in our account would be sent to us through check via mail….  I am beyond disappointed and frustrated especially considering we just paid close to $100 for our monthly membership.

Who did you email?   They did the same thing to me.  Said it’s not quickbooks, it’s green dot and NO ONE will give me any contact info for Green Dot!  They said I’ll receive a letter in the mail.  That’s it!   Just closed my account without any communication and my money has just disappeared as well!!!!

Same has happened to me.   They will not put me in contact with anyone.  Just says I will receive a letter in the mail!   My funds have disappeared!  Who did you contact?

This isn’t true!   When you contact Quickbooks they say it’s not them.  It’s Green Dot and they can’t tell you anything.  No numbers to call, no emails, nothing!!  And they have no idea way my account is just suddenly closed and money disappeared!!!   They say I’ll receive a letter in the mail!   That’s what you say to someone after you steal their money!!

Hi ! 

QuickBooks just CLOSED my payments merchant account. With out any reason! Did you get this resolved? If not, did you switch systems? Please help! Been with them since 2016 and I’m so upset they treat customers like this. They don’t care and won’t give me a concrete answer.

Yes it was resolved. Reachout to  oopescalations at intuit dot com . This is the direct email but when you enter the at symbol in this post  it will block it out. So replace the words at with the symbol and the word dot with the period symbol and you have the email to their administration. I hope this helps you.

Were you able to get this figured out? It just happened to me yesterday and I’m so upset! With customers rely on my invoice is being paid online, so this is such an inconvenience on my part. Any insight or tips is greatly appreciated!

To discuss a closed QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Checking account, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your accounts in a secure environment and discuss their status with you.

 

They can be reached while you're signed in.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Use your (?) Help icon.
  3. Enter the question or topic in QB Assistant. This will provide you options for answers. You can also use your Search tab to enter keywords.
  4. Type "Talk to an expert" in QB Assistant to see options for speaking with an expert. If you're on the Search tab, you can select Contact us.

 

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

 

You can also check your email for any communications from Intuit about the closure of the accounts. Make sure to check your spam/junk folders as well if you're not seeing any emails about it in your inbox.

Only after we got our attorney involved, the issue is 100% on Green Dot!   Very shady company!!  They just kept pushing it back on QuickBooks, even after we had higher-ups from QuickBooks involved and speaking on our behalf.  We got our money and switched to Wave!  The best move I've made in years!

None of this stayed true for our case and many others.  Green Dot are crooked and hopes you will  get tired of the run around.  We had them in so many lies that we finally had to take legal action against them.  Then, all of a sudden, our funds were released the SAME DAY!

YEP!   as they will!  You must stay on top of this and attend to it daily.  Require them to send you emails of your conversation and hold them!  They will see that you didn't say this or that, and the same applies to them.  You must force them to escalate your case and then do the same, requiring them to email you everything.   Please stay on the line with them until you receive your email.  They will constantly claim that the email was sent, but you will not receive it.  Find a higher up on the QuickBooks side to "reopen" your account.  Then you can force the green dot to release the hold on your account.  This will require many calls and requests to escalate before they will do it.   Then, as soon as you have both accounts open, force them to release the hold on your funds.  This is important because they will open your account but still hold your funds.  As soon as the hold is lifted, use your debit card and purchase the FULL amount.   We attempted to withdraw funds, but they were again held or had minimal limits, such as $200.00.  We went ahead and paid another account balance with the debit card.  This was not without issues either, as they tried to claim it was fraud and did not send the payment.   It took another week for the payment to be released and sent to our other debtor.
