When processing payments using QuickBooks, a fee is applied to each transaction. The amount varies depending on the payment type. If it's swiped, the fee is 2.5%. If it's invoiced, the fee is 2.9%. If it's keyed in, the fee is 3.5%. Additionally, ACH payments incur a 1% fee for each transaction.

However, if you notice unusually high fees, I recommend contacting our payment support team to determine the source of the fees. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Select or type Contact Us.
  4. Type your concern, then click Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us.

Good afternoon KTProducer,

 

Thank you for connecting with the QuickBooks Community. I will be more than happy to help. You can add a service fee to the invoice. From there, you can create the invoice and add the service fee. Here's how:

 

  1. Find or create an invoice to include the service fee. If you’ve not sent the invoice yet, select it from the list, then select Edit invoice.
  2. If you have sent the invoice, select Create invoice. Then select the customer.
  3. From the Product or service ▼ dropdown, select the service fee you created.
  4. Select Review and send.
  5. Send the invoice to your customer.
