trying to set up mobile readers for techs but they show up as user for desktop and not online

We purchased mobile reader for our techs.  We invited them to join our QuickBooks Payments (online) to be users.  But they show up as Desktop users instead on the app.

I can help you set up the mobile reader users in QuickBooks, @kristimich.

 

It could be that you add the users to the GoPayment section. Thus, the users show a user for the desktop.

 

If you're using QuickBooks Online in a web browser, here's how to add a user for payments.

  1. Go to the Settings  menu and then choose Manage Users.
  2. Click Add user.
  3. Choose the Take payments only role and then click Next.
  4. Select the types of transactions the user can view and then choose Next.
  5. Enter the user’s name and email.
  6. When you're done, click Save.
