What is the fee for accepting payment with credit card through quickbooks?

I can share some information with you about payments and processing fees in QuickBooks Online, bawtkins11.

When using QuickBooks to process payments, a fee is charged for each transaction. The amount of the fee varies depending on how the payment is made. If the payment is swiped, the fee is 2.4%. If it's invoiced, the fee is 2.9%. And if it's keyed in, the fee is 3.4%. Additionally, ACH payments have a charge of a 1% fee for each transaction.

We are charged $0.30 + 3.5% in Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise for invoice payments.  Did this recently go up?

Thank you.  The post from March stated the invoice rate was 2.9% which is why I was asking.  Is it cheaper for Quickbooks Online than it is for Quickbooks Desktop?  Is there any way to get a lower rate as a nonprofit?  Thanks so much.

Let me provide some details about these fees when accepting payments, PALS.

The rate per transaction between QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop has a slight difference. Fees for Quickbooks Desktop are fixed while fees for QBO vary on the amount of payment being processed. Below are screenshots for your reference:

You can request a rate review for your company to get a discounted rate when processing transactions. To see how you qualify and meet the requirements, check out this article for more details: Request A Rate Review of QuickBooks Payments Discount Fees.

Furthermore, you can learn how to handle transactions that are processed but get disputed. The money goes back to the payer and the sales are called chargeback.

Go through this article for more details: Handle Chargebacks and Retrieval Requests for QuickBooks Payments.

Please let me know if you need further assistance. I'm still here to back you up if you have any questions about the rates when accepting payments. Have a great day!
