Edit Time Card after Payroll Processed

Hello,

I need to change an employee's time card after payroll has processed. We charge clients and 4 hours needs to be changed from one client to another. No change in pay in amount of time. I simply need to switch the client numbers. Is that possible and how do I do it?

Edit Time Card after Payroll Processed

You can update the client even after processing your payroll, Hedwards2. I'll guide you through the process.

You'll need to unlock the time entry to edit the client in your employee's time card. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Time menu (Take me there).
  2. Choose Time entries.
  3. Find the time entry, then click Unapprove in the Action column.
  4. Open the time entry, choose the correct client, and hit Save.
  5. Approve it again.

For more details on managing your team's timesheets, see this article: Track and manage QuickBooks Time in QuickBooks Online.

You can also learn about viewing the timesheet history logs in QuickBooks by reading this reference: Understand the QuickBooks Time timesheet history logs (See Find timesheet history logs section).

I'm prepared to provide information if you have additional questions about handling timesheets for employees. Just let me know by leaving a comment below. Keep safe.
